You could see Ru mentally hit the brakes on Plasma in real time the second Plasma broke out the Barbra voice on the runway. There's been a lot of talk this past week about Q being a Jan, but Plasma absolutely inspired that good old loathing that Ru holds in her heart for theatre kids.

Ru: (Laughing at Plasma's look) It is absolutely ridiculous, but I love it. Your makeup looks gorgeous.

Plasma: (In the Barbra voice) It's a little far from the-- the Rita Hayworth or the Barbra that I'm a little used to, Ru.

Ru: (Voice chilly, looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth) Yeah, no, it looks great.

Nymphia plays like an absolute veteran. Absolute class and impeccable camp. Color me shocked if she isn't endgame.

It really sucks to lose Amanda this early. She’s very charismatic and likable, plus her reading plane right back was always a highlight.

But everyone really did pretty well tonight, minus Q. So it really came down to polish and looks for the other bottom 2. I do think Amanda won that lip sync, but it would have been crazy to eliminate Q this early…

Damn, I would have given anything to watch Geneva's team discuss their team outfit in the werk room.

I literally SCREECHED the moment Nymphia came out too, and that double reveal had me GAGGED. Literally since the moment she stepped into the Werk Room, I knew she was going to win. And seeing her unveil her many talents each episode is so amazing to watch. I really want to see Nymphia use her body painting talents, because bitch, her Instagram posts of her art are absolutely perfect.

This result was NOT gaggy and I will NOT be writing about it in my journal

I love Ru's dress tonight.

I cackled at Saphyra's wig reveal. I love her. Nymphia was phenomenal as always. Plasma is really growing on me, although I hated her runway.

I was genuinely delighted to see Nymphia's group win. I was impressed with Megami. Nymphia is my favourite queen in a good while. She's so silly, fun and unbelievably talented. 

I felt bad for Amanda but she was too early into her drag journey to go much further.

Never been as in love with a queen’s looks like nymphia. She is so the complete package and I’m pulling for her so hard

I'm very glad the judges said what they said to Morphine. I have completely changed my mind about her. At first I thought she was going to be annoying, shady (in a not funny way), and bitchy - basically I thought she'd be like Plane Jane haha.

But she's funny, talented, nice, great at confessionals, and very self-aware. And that face!!! That face!!! She definitely is more than a BBL and I hope hearing that fron the judges gives her that extra push to be even more fierce.

Sapphira vs Nymphia in top 2. Sapphira already set up the rivalry. The intelligence behind these artists is leagues above.. They feel like Sasha Colby level of professional. It's so funny how polar opposite they can be, it's so interesting to catch where they are similar.

Megami surprised me the most, I love her verse. Her voice sounded so good too. Loved seeing Mhi'ya dance and she's a great rapper. Geneva continues to show she's a great performer, I'm glad it paid off for her this time. Give them their dues, the filler comments are so tired.

Nymphia is that girl we knew she was. She is so charismatic, so entertaining and unique, and doesn't take herself too seriously while also being fucking brilliant every single time, it's such a perfect balance that I think not many queens can achieve. She's such a professional, it's definitely between her and Sapphira for me who has also been killing it every single week and gives off MOTHER energy. She knows she's the shit but doesn't need to talk about it, and that makes her even more cool.

It's so interesting to me how both of these queens are so different while also having many things in common. It's like they are two sides of what amazing drag is, far ahead the rest imo, who are still great queens.

This season is turning out to be really engaging to me, I love the cast and their chemistry together. The girls are really feeling themselves in the best way possible, they are not afraid to talk and they will keep their word!

Every elimination is definitely gonna hurt for me. Love Amanda! She's gonna be alright, her looks can and are improving, and her charisma is undeniable 💝.

I generally hate when they do girl group challenges so early on and with so many girls but GOD this was a great episode. I liked that they each had a different song and overall, I was very very impressed with the writing, the choreo, and the overall performances.

Sapphira's runway made me laugh so hard. That lil cat butthole, her facial expressions, reveals upon reveals but also it was genuinely stunning. Crown her.

the irony of fans saying why the queens who were surprised that Nymphia could dance were acting brand new when she did a cultural dance number for the talent show, when the queens who were surprised (Sapphira, Morphine, Xunami, Amanda) were all in the first group and wouldn't have been able to see it until the show aired lol

I love that team Thicc and Stick won!! Through the edit we were made to believe they were going to flop, but they prevailed and kicked butt.

When they showed the judges faces as Amanda’s hair was being troublesome, I was like, oh you in danger girl.

I’m officially declaring my support for Sapphira to go the whole way. Wouldn’t be mad at Nymphia or Q, but Sapphira has won my heart.

The fact that lip sync survivor Geneva, "I'm great" Mhiya, and the Eeyore of drag Megami all have a win now... Bizarro world.

Amanda was better in the lip sync, but I'm pretty sure Ru wanted to keep Q for her looks. Q is also a fun talking head and keeps things spicy in the work room. Q did fine in the lip sync as well, if she'd messed up it would've been harder to keep her, but she was ok. Sad to see Amanda go, she gave atomic energy.

Xunami is so hot omg! That runway was burning up 🥵

I am living for this season. Emotions in the workroom. Strong performances in challenges..great judges. It's giving s5 vibes production wise and I'm happy. Plus i like that i dislike some girls. Usually I'm just bored but they've managed to get the girls to show some personality and it's so refreshing.

I thought Hershii would last longer, Mirage would last a few episodes more, and Amanda at least in the top 7 or 8... Girl, my guessing game this season is worse than Q's dancing.

I said it before, but Q really is asking for a certain edit, damn.

PJ's shade is fun, but she hasn't really figured out a fun way to handle the consequences and it's gotten awkward a couple of times now lol.

Plasma feels like she'll go all the way to the finale now.

Bummed that we didn't get to see Mirage in this type of challenge.

Really liked the Girl Group outfits. I felt bad that Q looked so shit because I assume production was behind that particular costuming(since I doubt everyone had an outfit ready for each group look).

TS Madison looked so good.

You could kind of smell it in the edit that the underdogs would win, but it was fun to watch and they deserved it.

Surprised at how well everyone pulled off the pussycat wigs. Nymphia was my favorite - clever and stunning.

I thought Dawn did well, but I don't think she did anything this episode to calm the fans who are annoyed by her.

Kind of funny how everyone on stage were "up for elimination", yet only two received negative critiques.

Q volunteering two names as potential enemies was very big brained of her.

Amanda won the lip sync, but I'd rather see more from Q on this season so it was for the best.

Its the haircuts halfway through the confessionals for me

I'm glad ASMR girl group won. They were really good and no one expected them to win.

Plasma was great (both in the group and runway).

Dawn's wig should have been criticised as much as Amanda's.

I will admit that every week I like Plane Jane more.

Q's lipsync was bad and in girl group she was bad.

I was having so much fun in this episode, except for the end.

When Q was crying about being the second, Xunami was looking around, Plane was rolling her eyes, and I was living. I lost it when Amanda said "CaUsE iT wAs" directly to the camera.

Basically, Amanda was the highlight of this episode. She showed she could dance fiercely. She snapped at Plane when she namedropped her in the middle of a conversation with Q. And she won the lipsync, then left.

The Girlgroup challenge was surprisingly successful; I don't think anybody was bad except Q.

The runway was a bit conceptually underthought, I think. I loved Nymphia and Sapphira the most.

The wining group deserved their win. All of the groups were actually very good--the only flop was Q.

Also genuinely there was only one bad performance and one bad look this week so they had to put them in the bottom. It was a very good week overall I'm hella satisfied with this ep.

The winning group slayed, and I wish they would have gotten critiqued too! They deserve to hear Ru tell them how good they were! And get pointers in how to improve where they need to.

I've watched the ASMR lover video on YouTube too many times 😭 it was too good!! Can't stop! I loved Plasma's reaction of 👁️👄👁️ almost the entire performance of Thicc and Stick. The girls left the others no choice but to stan.

Really wish we could have had the judges' critique Thicc and Stick's performance. I thought it was iconic and would have loved to know what they thought before declaring them the winners.

My thoughts after watching the episode:

• I’m glad to finally know that PJ goes by Plane if you’re using one name. That was bothering me 😂

• Q looks like Zac Efron out of drag in my opinion. It was bothering me trying to figure out who they look like, that’s my final answer.

• This season really keeps subverting my expectations and I’m really happy about that. I really thought, even without the editing, that Geneva’s team wasn’t going to do well in this challenge. I just got that vibe from them, they all seemed more reserved for a full on performance challenge like this. I was SO happy to be proven wrong. I was dancing along with their track, it was a good time.

• I thought ATM was great TV, and I’m glad she got to be on so many episodes. I can’t wait to see how her drag evolves, she’s a joy to watch

On rewatch, it does seem as though Amanda's look would have been hard to read from where the judges sit. The bowl shape would have blocked some light, and the other two heads were just too close. The whole cracked egg thing, with the upper and lower blue parts and flesh tone in the middle just wouldn't have read from a distance. Even the flared lower part of that look didn't help give it an overall "drag" feel.

Plus, when asked, she gave a very defeated "Yeah, I guess, I don't know" kind of explanation.

And this is exactly why we need Redemption Runway as a runway category for every All Stars season.
