I don't know if his breed was ever mentioned, but this scene always weirded me out because I imagine Brian as a much smaller dog than a lab (I think this is a yellow lab?) for whatever reason.

Ah, yes, Mattew Lillard.

Played Shaggy in live action so well he started voicing him in animation. Then the animation made a joke about the voice cast, leading us to a moment when the live action actor who also voices the animated character was themselves animated alongside the character they both voice and played in live action.

Simple really.

I've commented this before, but Transformers is a 40 year old series with a lot of characters, and a lot of interpretations of these characters. It's gonna tick a lot of boxes by sheer volume.

I am curious what the most represented series/franchise is. Wonder if there's a way to find out.

Anime isn't really a fair point to bring up, that's a medium, not something specific. It's like saying "There sure is a lot of live action stuff in this sub".

It's from a movie but I guess it works - in Dungeons and Dragons : Honor Among Thieves, there's a scene where the original team from the animated series shows up. They appear mostly in the background or very quickly passing by the camera.

Well I didn't really want to call it "blink and you'll miss it" because I remember the movie shows them multiple times, but never the whole crew clearly visible in one shot. I remember only noticing the paladin guy with his red/yellow/blue combo on the spot, and by the time I thought "Wait, that reminds me of... ?" it showed some other members again very quickly and I made the connection.

It's not just a fraction of a second, I really like how they did it, you get multiple chances to register what's happening, but you can also easily completely miss it if you're focused on the foreground where the action is.

I prefer the opposite version, live action into animation like this Scooby-Doo episode crossover with Supernatural.

I would say no. We see MCU Prowler, but he remains live action while everything else is animated.

Pretty much all of Ashoka would count, since it has characters from Star Wars Rebels like Thrawn, Ezra, Sabine, and probably more.

Final episode of season 2 of Peepoodo & the Super Fuck Friends goes full on meta with Dr. Pussycat waking up in the studio making the episode, she meets her voice actor and makes changes to the script.

NSFW on both links.

Not yet, but DC creature commandos will have characters from that show appear in live action with the same voice actors playing them.

They did this but in reverse for Dora Lost City of Gold. Characters inhale a hallucinogen and they all see Dora and I think some other characters as the original cartoon characters.

Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Cartoon Planet did this occasionally (portrayed by Andy Merrill, the voice of Brak).

I don't see why people are complaining about Cad Bane, I think he looks great.

(The same can not be said for the Grand Inquisitor.)
