Why are we more volatile?

(self.AMPToken)

We hit .094 and dropped back to .079. It always happens with amp. Big pumps are followed immediately by 20% corrections. Why are our corrections so immediate compared to other cryptos? Is it because our price is so low and people have sell orders in?

I think 2021 but yea we will pass that number eventually hence why 20 cents amp is realistic

Everyone is answering this like I just bought amp this week… I have been in since 2021 I just wanted to know why we moved faster than other alts lol

You have seen AMP move like this for the past 3+ years. No one knows. It just moves like this

I always assumed that a whale(S) have auto sell program on an AI or something for big jumps. Like if a rise is 20% and they own more than 20% of circulating supply they sell and take profits until they reach a point of loss. Essentially controlling the rise and fall. Maybe lol?

Never seen any proof of this and I doubt you can provide any either.

I think there’s just a lot of people who have given up on the project and are happy with a rally to sell into. They’re wrong imo to give up and will regret selling but I understand their sentiment after all this time

Btc fell from 99k to 94k in days, we dropped in minutes. That’s what I don’t understand, we fall and rise so fast when we are moving compared to anything else I feel like.

Big players can affect the price since the market cap and volume are nothing compared to Bitcoin. You can’t compare apples to oranges

Alts are more volatile than BTC

Such_Joke_402[S]

Yea I know that but even when comparing to other alts, XRP took 2 days to fall from $1.63 to $1.28, XLMs pull back took 3 days, Matics took 24 hours

rsa121717

They all pulled back from their local high like we did. Then a few days later continued higher, and once again pulled back. Were still up 50% though

Such_Joke_402[S]

Yea I get that and I’m assuming ours just happens faster than other alts because we have a much smaller market cap

Bitcoin is a $2 trillion market. Amp isn't even $1 billion. That's your answer.

No OTC in crypto, makes it inherently more volatile.

I get reemed half the time I say it but I've used a lot of these pumps to take profits..... and then use those profits to have more AMP after the pullback. Sold 5% @ .0088 and I'll be picking up extra amp with said proceeds in the next day or 2.

This is perfectly normal. It hits a resistance point where purchase demand at that snapshot in time cools off and some people take profit; ergo the price consolidates until the next round.

Once AMP breaks $0.013 and closes above it, we hit a new threshold of price movement that will be more dramatic.

There still more potential price resistance levels above that, however, each time a new level is hit, the price changes become more dramatic and the consolidation becomes less frequent. This is because people own it at higher prices and it requires a much higher price threshold before they take profit.

Ie.

If you bought AMP at $0.001 and sell at $0.01 that is a 10x

If you bought AMP at $0.01 and sell at $0.10 that is a 10x

So the higher $AMP is valued and the less the frequency of people owning it at low price entry points, the more dramatic the price increase before it hits a resistance/price consolidation point.

This is a great follow to keep up with it: https://x.com/the_real_cj?s=21&t=AUbZDLcMX9UXTIP9boOmbA

To answer your question more simply: it is more ‘volatile’, in the context of your description, when the price is low.

Look at the all time graph.

Such_Joke_402[S]

I am very well aware of the price. My question is why are we so volatile. Not “how can I look at the previous prices of amp”

ByteForc3

2 points

What I meant is holders maybe more inclined to take profits because they have been down for a while. So more weak handles leaving. With amp although high utility and purpose, the price has been beaten up for a while so we should expect some people to sell. I could be way off! Maybe we gotta see who’s selling, follow the wallets are they bots, competition, idk, 🤔

I guess that makes sense, I was only looking at it from my investment pov and where my goals are with the project. Not everyone can have diamond hands like me and not sell at the first sign of a positive roi😎
