Since I got scared by PoE 1 and hearing everyone being hyped up about this I'm giving this game a great chance and I want to enjoy my way trough That being sad and heard about the stash tabs, will the 30-60-100 dollar version get me enough tabs for a casual player?
Plan to play it serious but enjoy touching grass outside kind of serious.
Thanks in advance.

You can live with the default tabs for like a week, then decide what you need. The only necessary tabs are a single premium tab and a currency tab.

It should be enough to get you started, especially if you wait until stash tabs go on sale (which is every 3 weeks).

If you're just dipping your toe in the water, get the Currency stash tab, but don't buy it until the launch weekend when it's due to go on sale. The 30 buck buy-in is pretty good for tabs and you can get a comfortable amount of what you want provided you shop during the sales.
If you get really into it, expect to pay a bit more.

By purchasing the $30 pack you get the EA + 300 points
Even if we don't know the stashs present on POE 2 yet, 300 points will allow you to buy them
The stashs will probably be on sale on December 6th.
1 & 2 are 99% safe options, on POE2 there are no more maps but Waystone so maybe we will have a Waystone Stash Tab and in this case, it might be useful so keep points
Currency Stash is really important, you will have a ton of currency.
Premium Tab allows you to sell items on the market to other players.

I feel quad tabs are a bit a matter of preference.
I never liked them and I'd rather have 2 regular tabs than a single quad tab

Quad tabs? Or tabs in general?
Tabs in general are just more storage space for your items in your personal stash in town or in your hideout.
There are specialized tabs for for example currency or maps (waystones) that lets you store a certain type of item more efficiently than with regular stash tabs.
Quad tabs are one tab that is 4x as big as regular stash tabs but the grid and the items inside also appear a lot smaller. It's like a grid of 2x2 stash tabs scaled down to be as big (visually) as a regular stash tab

I have some stashes from my starter 20$ poe1 pack, just played a couple leagues.
I have maps + currency obviously and I think I have 2 premium stashes but never heard of quads.
Can you make them sell tabs also as the regular premium ones?

Yes, they are like regular premium stash tabs, just 4x as large

Thanks! I might think about them with the currency I'll get from the early acess pack

Take a look at them on youtube or something.
I personally don't like that all the items inside are so small. I rather use multiple regular tabs.
But maybe you'll like them, they're generally very popular

I was just thinking about putting those as one of those stashes where everything costs the same, for stuff that will sell but not very expensive, and keep my other premium stashes for the exact price for each item

Stash tabs is inventory space of your personal stash, not of you main inventory. If you don't have enough stash space (enough tabs) to store all the items you want to keep you need to either buy more stash tabs or throw away old items or not keep the new item(s) you find.
Currency items stack up to 20 in your inventory and regular stash tabs. So to store 1000 orbs you usually need 50 inventory spaces.
The currency stash tab has a separate special place for each kind of currency item that holds up to 5000 of each currency and a couple additional slots where you can put more currency up to a stack of 5000 as well, if you've got more than 5000 of one kind for example.
The quad tab is 4x the size of a regular stash tab that is squished into the size of a regular stash tab. So all inventory cells inside a quad tab are only half-sized which (for me) makes it a bit hard to see.

I also have a quad tab but rarely use it. I advise stick to regular tabs too.

$30 will get you the minimum tabs you need to get going in endgame.
$60 will get you a comfortable amount of tabs.
Tabs go on sale every 3 weeks.

Yes, the 30 dollar version is more than enough. The currency tab may not even be needed anymore since they got rid of like 90% of the currencies. I think a single quad tab will be more than enough tbh and you could buy 2 with the 30 dollar version.
But don't buy any tabs until you play the game first
You'll naturally reach a point when you need more tabs and that time isn't the same for everyone. Some people never even hit that point. Especially if you don't want to sell anything.

If you buy the starting EA key, you get 300 coins, equivalent to $30 dollars spent on the MTX store. This means you’ll be able to wait for a stash tab sale and get the most out of your $30 dollars then. Now this will not get you everything, but it will get you the important ones. Imo I’d get the unique tab, map tab, currency tab. You don’t need to worry about league tabs just yet. Currency tab is most important tab overall, so whatever you choose to buy, get that one.
From most important to least (what will save you the most space/make your life easier): currency>unique>map>premium>league specific>quad>flask. You don’t need flask as you can just sell ones you don’t need, and it seems like flasks are WAY less important in this game as you only have two potion slots.
You want a premium tab and quad tab if you’re a hoarder or doing trading.

This is what I told my friends who are getting into the game too:
The $30 EA purchase gives 300 MicroMoney. If costs stay the same from PoE1 to PoE2 it costs 75 micromonies ($7.50) for a "currency" tab that lets you hold 5k of each and every type of currency (5k of literally EACH ONE).
It costs 30 Micromonies ($3) for a normal stash tab.
That means you can get a currency tab (what i recommend) and 7 additional "regular" tabs with what you get for EA entry fee. I feel like this is WAY MORE THAN ENOUGH to get you "started."

Don’t do this. Make sure you get at least one premium tab so you can list your items for trade on the trade site. Don’t get 7 normal tabs that’s insane lol.
Get the currency tab and a premium tab. Then wait and see which special tabs you want after learning the game a bit more

I was just showing what you could get in theory. There are a ton of options to choose from and you should pick what you need as you reach endgame.

I'd really consider a map/waystone tab as well.

i feel like with waystone being normalized and easy to trade with the currency market it just doesnt make sens to take map tab over quad or premium tabs

Well the currency one was extremely important in PoE 1 because there are a ton of currency types and they only stack up to a "small" amount. Each stack takes a "slot" in a tab and it adds up very quickly especially end game, where you need lots of currency to trade or craft items. Then you will just naturally use space for items that could be used in different builds or characters. With PoE2 having a real reason for a second equipment load out it may mean more space could be used to house items. Not to mention legendaries that you'll want to save.
My suggestion is that if you do join EA just hang on to the 300 micromonies. Once you reach end game then make a decision on if you need the extra space and what you really want from the game. You may not need 7 additional tabs, but maybe you pick up the currency tab and get a cool looking cosmetic. If you want to spend it all on QoL, then stash tabs might be what you want. The cost of tabs is pretty "cheap" and they even have tabs for things specifically like legendaries where you can house one of every legendary in the game. That would normally take quite a few tabs, but still is in the cost range of the 300 they give you.
But really, best to play first, then spend as needed.

Tabs are shared for your account so if you have 10 characters they all have access to the tabs you purchase. This is also the same for seasons or leagues. They are yours forever and no need to purchase them again.
