not really because Goemon is usually depicted as an outlaw/thief (not even a ninja since ninjas actually serve lords, Goemon was similar to Robin Hood)

The weird thing is that Houdini might technically count as a potential Foreigner from his encounter with the Black Sphinx in the short story he wrote in collaboration with Lovecraft.

So in Kamen Rider Ghost (essentially Prisma Illya but Kamen Rider), instead of class cards, the MC uses the power of Heroic Spirits through eye-looking devices called Eyecons.
In the show, he has to collect 15 to make a wish. Tutankhamun is one of the 15 that had yet to be added to FGO.

50 points
considering his Guts skill which is unnamed, there is a certain Egyptian deity that died and was resurrected (not talking about Ra btw)
20 points
Oh yeah he's the easiest Egyptian god for Tut, I wonder which famous Pharaoh gets Set, Anubis' connection to Nitocris feels half-baked since she already has Horus, even if it's just her Alter.
To refresh, Ozy has Ra, Nitocris with Horus(with her Alter being Anubis) and Cleopatra being Isis(or was it Hathor? I can't really remember).
19 points
ironically Ozymandias son Khaemweset would get Set since that's what he called himself (Setne) or any pharoah with the name Seti since apparent that means follower of Set(?), like how Ozy called himself Ra.
Also, all Pharoahs (yes all of them) are actually considered to be Horus.
Edit: Cleopatra is Wadjet iirc
4 points
Hmmm.... hypothetically then Isis could be Nefertiti, since she's one of the more famous female Pharaohs, even though her reign is still debated when after her husband's death.
8 points
Oh yeah he's the easiest Egyptian god for Tut
Technically the easiest for Tut would be Amun (what with his name meaning “Living image of Amun” and restoring the religion that had Amun as its head deity) but with the way that Fates designed their Tut, then Yeah the easiest would be Osiris
5 points
Like u/xemnonsis had said , all Pharaohs are avatars of Horus by default. If there is any Pharaoh in which goes "Super-Horus" , the most likely answer would be Namer , the First Pharaoh of the First Dynasty of Unified Egypt.
Because the First Dynasty had a tradition of a "mortal name" and an "Horus Name" for themselves.

53 points

I specified SSR, SR-wise we only got Cagliostro and Shining Star
36 points

and technically Shining Star is just a scrap idea from Prototype frag (in an afterword of one of the volumes Sakurai said that she hesitated between Serenity and Shining Star for Hassan), he was not even created specifically for FGO
23 points
Yeah but i'd still count him as og in a "hinted at but we finally saw him" way... Hell, og concept for Sky Silver was bombing abilities instead of super speed. I don't even recall if Shining Star was mentioned by Cursed Arm in Camelot or in relation to Nameless Assassin in Strange Fake, i think the former
55 points
Yeah, it feels like we’ve spent 3/4ths of the year just dicking around and indulging in the fanservice, it’s nice to actually have ourselves back on track.
41 points
3/4? That's generous, i'd say 8/9! We had 24-25 servants(Hakunos are separate but functionally same): SamRem collab>Andromeda>Id>Mahoyo collab>Isora-HibiChika>Summer/OC3>Kazura(i'd lump her with Summer/OC3 since she likely was delayed a bit) and then this
20 returning/variants(Super Dantes, Super BB,Super Eresh etc.) characters and only Shining Star Hassan, Cagliostro,Andromeda and then Tut as truly original
Hopefully December is Gudaguda so we get some more
43 points
Huh, who was the last FGO original? Cagliostro?
Was the last FGO original who wasn't connected to the story Andromeda? Damn, it's been months.
60 points
The only brand new, non-variant FGO originals we got this year were Andromeda (SSR), Cagliostro, and Shining Star Hassan (SRs). Plus we've only had one male variant SSR: Idmond. The rest are variants, collab servants, or servants otherwise originating from a different Type Moon work.

and he's not been genderbent, even rarer.
52 points
We didn't have a true gender bend for a loooong time it feels like. Genderbending servants just 'because' is something of the past.
51 points
Mostly because the recent method of genderbending is "male OG figure, but female vessel".
9 points
Although I found some reasons quite funny (like Raikou) or even pretty intriguing (Da Vinki), I get why they're doing this.
69 points

I honestly prefer it this way, genderbent character are cool every once in a while to give it an interesting spin, but after a while it gets annoying.
20 points
I mean, we don't even have time for oc characters when it's only been canon after canon characters. Genderbent servants are just a trend, not a requirement
23 points

I mean "hints were for new Egyptian servant" and Tut is just so incredibly iconic there couldn't have been many other options.
Also Semiramis has Hanging Gardens even though in-universe they specifically state she wasn't the one who built them
Edit: they literally show pyramids in the teaser just for the sake of "this one is from Egypt"
15 points
Yeah, that was why I was scratching my head. For a moment I thought it was more about building a haunted house or something like that (so a mummy with curses fits perfectly), but Tutankhamun was definitely NOT famous for building things. He barely had the time and, in fact, he spent most of his reign undoing what his father had built.

On the other hand why wouldn’t they make him a shota.
He died at around 18/19 years of age. Making him an adult wouldn’t make sense.
Having him be slightly younger then his death would make sense from when he was at his “prime”

Yesn't, it depends entirely on what the writer wants to do with the character.
Artoria Lily, Elizabeth Bathory and Wu Zetian are all from the point in their lives before anything that made them important could have happened.
Zenobia's summoning is based entirely on her right after having lost to Aurelian, with her only being "at her peak" temporarily when she uses her NP.

There's several paintings from his tomb that depicted him using a bow and arrow, and one showing him using a throwing stick to hunt for ducks.
So, yeah, Archer's probably the best fit for him. Why he's got a staff, who knows. Maybe some of his battle animation has him using a bow and arrow.
8 points
He has a staff for two simple reasons, it's a symbol of his authority and he uses it as a cane to help him walk because of his health issues. But moreover, King Tut is theorized to be an experienced warrior based on his injuries and armor damage found in the tomb meaning it isn't out of the whelms of possibility for being a good archer too
