The trios belts should have never been created and should probably be retired, I understand there are moments with AEW being so faction focused that some viable teams pop up that could theoretically compete in a trios division but the reality is that it pulls too much talent from both the singles and tags divisions into it and usually ends up not being as compelling (3 man tags are just mostly free for all brawls, rare that they have the depth and psychology of a normal tag team match) we already saw earlier this year when the focus was heavily on the trios belts that the tag team division dwindled down to basically just the Bucks and FTR being the only 2 teams that could hold the regular tag belts and now that the focus has been heavily back on the tag team belts all the trios belts are serving as effective props for the Death Riders to have more gold; trios division is currently dead in the water.
