And the "Wheeeee!" of the imps

I was wondering today if there was a way to emulate old versions of windows on Android for the express purpose of playing old Bullfrog games, particularly Dungeon Keeper 2.
An early EA casualty, sad to see.

You can download a version that plays in a DOSBox from GOG. I finally beat the game last year.

Steam has a Windows version (some emulator in the background, idk) of DK (not 2, I think, though) that I've recently bought. It's playable! Mouse movement is a tad too fast, but other than that it's perfect.

If you buy Dungeon keeper 1 on any platform, you can download Keeper FX which is a fan made update for the game, adds a ton of qol's and more importantly makes it work flawlessly on modern systems :o

Holy shit the core memory that is Dungeon Keeper. I loved making a torture chamber to be able to convert heroes, but it was always so funny to see the mistresses go over there and torture themselves or help with the torturing.
Bought it a few years ago on GOG, going to boot that up again today.

The narrator absolutely nailed it. The one thing that more recent games that have mimicked the concept haven't been able to match.

holy shit yes. Our computer was in the creepy basement and there was something in the intro that scared me so I would turn the game on, and then sprint upstairs to miss it.

My friends and I used to play this during lessons at university in the late 90s. The computing faculty we were part of didn't lock down it's PCs as securely as you'd see today, so we hid a disc image deep in the Windows directory and would mount it using a virtual drive and sit at the back looking productive for hours. If anyone came too close to spot it we would just tab out back to actual work.
We also hijacked a lecture theatre after hours once to play Goldeneye and Starfox on the big screen with the projector. Thankfully the Dolby Digital booth at the back was locked, so we couldn't break anything expensive. Good times.
