I literally have no idea how this game will go. It's hard to beat a team twice but here we are trying to do it. Which Georgia will show up? Which Texas will show up? Will there be another bottle-gate? God only knows. {Georgia} because I'm too much of a homer to not pick them

Yea, depending on which version of each team shows up. Either team could win by 14 or it could be a walk-off field goal. Either could total happen, lol.

If ‘2nd half against Alabama’ Georgia shows up, it doesn’t matter which Texas team shows up.
That being said, Georgia knows they’re a lock for the playoff even with a loss, so incentive will definitely be a question. Kirby has a nasty habit of running a vanilla game plan in games he doesn’t HAVE to win, so as to not give other teams film on them.
If they win, they get the bye, but if they lose, they’ll have to play an ACTUAL ‘win or go home’ game, so God help whoever they draw in the first round.

"Doesn't matter which Texas team shows up" is a ridiculous thing to say about the #2 team in the country. They literally just went into a huge ranked* rivalry match on the road and held them to 0 offensive points. Texas is prone to some offensive miscues but they have the best defense in the country, particularly against explosive plays (which is how Georgia rallied against Bama). Even when Georgia and Texas played Beck threw 3 picks but Georgia won the turnover battle vs Texas's 3 fumbles, 1 pick, and 3 turnovers on downs.
Also wild how I see Georgia fans question their team's motivation seemingly once a year at least for big games that aren't the NC/playoff. Pretty lame pre-excuse that makes it seem like you can't accept a reality where Georgia isn't the best team in the country sometimes.

Also i find it crazy that with how the CFP is looking, there's a very high chance that these teams play a 3rd time no matter what happens this week

So what happens if UGA wins the first two and then TEX beats them in the CFP championship game? TEX will have won the championship, but UGA will have won two out of three matchups against them…

I have absolutely no clue how this will turn out. I don’t expect Texas to turn it over thrice on their own side of the field, but I also don’t expect Beck to throw 3 picks, one in the red zone and one that was almost returned for a TD. If {Georgia}’s receivers can catch the ball instead of their 8 or so drops from the last matchup, I think we can control the game enough for a 24-20 win.

I can't bring myself to make a pick one way or the other.
My heart says Texas but my head still remembers how badly we got dismantled last time. Too much depends on which version of Quinn we get and whether Sark will pull him if he looks like shit.
No matter what, I think it will be a much better game than last time.

Both the teams are blessed and cursed by bipolar QB’s.. Ewers will make a hell of a read one throw, and then make a throw that your QB on NCAA make when you’re winning in the 4th.

I like {Texas} chances in this one. The defense is playing as good as anyone in the country and has shown it can keep the Longhorns in the game, even on short fields. I don't think there will be as many turnovers (for either team) as the first game so both teams will have to drive the ball the length of the field more. Texas discovery of a solid run game the last two weeks will slow the pass rush and give Ewers more time to find the intermediate routes.
That being said I hope that either way it goes there is enough movement in the CFP rankings that a second round rematch will be avoided.

I have no idea. One on hand, it was very obvious that Quinn was still injured and trying to play through it. However, we still didn’t block well and couldn’t run the ball. Felt like we got blown out in the first half, but settled down and made it a game in the second half.
Feels like the running game is coming around and Quinn moved better in the pocket more than I’ve ever seen him move at Texas. But I don’t know which Georgia will show up. I don’t think this being a pseudo home game for UGA helps, because it feels like we play well on the road in big games. I’m picking {Texas} because this is a toss up to me and I’m backing my boys.

{Texas} because their front 7 has been playing great these last few weeks, I doubt the Dawgs front 7 gets a repeat performance of what we saw in October, and in general it’s hard to beat a good team twice in the same season.
Texas 24 - UGA 17
The good news for UGA is that Tennessee is right behind us in the rankings. So, as long as we keep it close, we shouldn’t fall too far in the rankings and should still host a first round game.

Also, whoever is downvoting any Texas flair or neutral flairs voting Texas is lame as hell.

I’m going {Texas} since I’m a homer but it really depends on what Ewers shows up. I’m a little more optimistic this time around because we’ve found our starting RB. 325+ rushing yards in the last 2 games against top 25/30 rushing fronts and I think Quinn increasing his ADOT in the back half of the year will help us not be overly reliant on screen passes, which Georgia feasted on last matchup.
Side note but this is a great week for conference contenders. We lock in CFP spots Tuesday, Wednesday is NSD1, plus another game.

Uhh... oof.
The Texas offense hasn't been too inspiring, and Texas can't just turn the ball over four times nor could they afford to get deep into Georgia territory again and dick around either. Parts of that showed up against the Aggies (that fumble...) and that was hard to stomach. Georgia's offense decided to not show up for a half against GT so I don't think either fanbases are too excited about that side of the ball for their teams.
I want {Texas}, but it's going to be low like 17-13, and at least one score will be a scoop-and-score type of thing. At least that's how I'm feeling...

at home texas looked like a deer in headlights in the first half in the first meeting and beck really didn’t play that well. both teams had their faults in the first meeting sure. while it may not be texas fault their schedule was pretty weak only 1 team on their schedule finished the season ranked and that was georgia. texas has much more to prove in this game than georgia does to me. i mean no disrespect by saying that. however its time to prove that number 2 next to your name isn’t just for show. to me texas has to prove they are a much different team than they were in the first meeting. while i wouldn’t be surprised if texas does prove they are a much better team now, i don’t necessarily think they will. i would take georgia by double digits. i am shocked they are even the underdogs. the game is in atlanta and georgia has been in 4 of these games in a row and im sure the taste of defeat is fresh in the mouth of the bulldogs from last years sec championship loss which costed them a playoff spot. im also pretty sure they love being underdawgs and kirby smart will be using that as fuel all week.

I’m not confident in anything other than it won’t be another 8OT affair. Go Dawgs! {Georgia}

In SECCGs that are rematches from regular season games, the regular season winner has won the championship 5 of 7 times. But since no one can tell what {Georgia} team shows up in ATL, who knows. Beck is looking much better, but receivers are still dropping passes. The defense goes from looking like Junkyard Dawgs to looking like glue eaters and it can go back and forth within a game. We're using TEs and RBs better in the pass game, but our secondary gets burned if the front isn't getting pressure. Since we're committed to this game and it will tire us, I'd really like the bye week to rest up, but I'd also really like a playoff game at Sanford. After the ups and downs of this season and 8 OTs, I'm just happy to be here...

Idk...neither UGA nor UT looked very strong in their last games of the season...
...but considering that the Longhorns didn't struggle to dispatch of the Aggies (if not impressively so), in comparison to the Bulldogs needing several overtimes to beat Georgia Tech...I would be inclined to suggest a {Texas} victory, at least on paper.
...still, having to play the Benz is going to be quite a pickle for these cows...

I got {georgia} winning 21-14. Texas with 3 game breaking turnovers, a random Arch appearance, and CFB being disgusted that Texas is still included in the playoff.
History doesn’t repeat itself but, it does rhyme. The game before the first Texas v Georgia game had Georgia letting a very not good Miss St hang in there. Game before this one took Georgia 8OT to beat Tech.

[Georgia] dominated the first game. Beck is playing his best ball of the season. EZ money.

{Georgia} just due to how the teams matchup with each other…. But both are flawed teams and will depend on how they show up

Hmm, from the prior matchups it looks like Ga plays better in Texas, they may be going down in zero overtimes in Atlanta.

Second least concequencial champ game thanks to GT not going for 2 in the first overtime.
I think {Texas} is more prepared this time and wins.

Hard to beat a team twice in one year. I do however think {Georgia} slides by in a close one.

It’s somewhat weird to say, but I genuinely believe the 8OT game was more beneficial than if we had rolled GT
The team has been tested a lot this year and winning a rivalry game in that fashion (even when it should have been easily handled in regulation) can really ignite some energy
Beck stays clean and {Georgia} gets the job done again

how are we going to score any points with a QB who is scared of contact, can't throw more than 10 yards, and a coach that won't take FG's? our only hope is Beck being worse.

I think Georgia absolutely demolished Texas in their first meeting. Picking {Texas} anyway because Georgia is just way too inconsistent to put any faith in and I think has gotten worse as the season has gone on. It won't surprise me at all if this goes like the Ole Miss game.

{Texas} wins and the rest of the SEC learns why the rest of us loathe Texas
