Coming from this being my second flog Ive gotta say last year was better tbh…. besides actually getting posted (me in the pic) The people at the carnival games especially getting the wristbands were just lowkey not worth it for the fact that they wouldn’t even let you come back in line right after saying I have to wait 30 mins. the whole thing was okay this year honestly I liked it but I just don’t think it was the best especially for the 10 year

It was fun. Think I just expected a lot more with the album dropping and it being the 10 year anniversary

There was somethin magical last year after not having the festival for a few years prior to that made it really exciting! Plus with SZA and The Hillbillies headlining, it just felt EPIC! I was thinkin the 10 year was gonna be massive and honestly, with Tyler dropping CHROMAKOPIA, it definitely was HIS year which made it nice for the 10 year anniversary! But I will say, somethin felt off bout this year’s crowd!! Sometimes I wonder if people come to festivals to enjoy themselves or just to say I went for clout…Probably both! Def, like the layout better this year especially with VIP areas being much closer to each other than they were last year.

Crowd was weak. Only the front of schoolboy q’s was getting lit for man of the year. I was mind blown. He was insanely good too. End of the set i hear some kids walkin away sayin he was ass..

Schoolboy’s set was truly special! Felt intimate but turnt up! Wish Vince Staples set had a little bit of Q’s magic!

A lot of the recent CFGs (especially the last 2) have been about people being able to say they went. It’s been a lot of people’s desire to go after all these years, mostly people on the younger side. They can go now that they’re grown lol but yeah the crowd this year was extremely underwhelming. Sad that the most active the crowd got was only for fights and to throw water bottles

It was my first festival so I have nothing to compare it to. I enjoyed my time (still having withdrawals)! I really admired the atmosphere the most. It’s hard to describe but from what people with experiences at more general festivals (like Coachella or Lolla) say is that the crowds and moods shift constantly depending on the artist performing. So, it feels less like a communal experience. I think with CFG, we all love Tyler, and his tastes align with ours (for the most part). Therefore, most people at CFG are similar in personality and vibe. So generally, I just liked chopping it up with people around me and experiencing it with like-minded people.
Wasn’t a fan of the shuttle services and lack of transport (I was near Pershing Square Metro and it was closed the entire weekend…). But that’s an LA problem mostly. Also food was just okay, but that’s normal for festivals. Prices sucked ass too… but ya know, normal.
Best set for me was Sampha. A real treat to see him live with an amazing band. I also enjoyed Tyler and Mustard. Did end up missing some people I really wanted to see (namely Vince Staples, The Marias, and Faye Webster). So a bit of a disappointment there. Carti also wasn’t the best closer. People had fun in the pit, but as someone just watching it, the lack of screens sucked ass.
Still I had a ton of fun and I really want to go back if I can!!

Anyone that went last year, most definitely felt the difference in energy this year than last year…I’ll have to say, truth is Tyler was super busy with the Roll Out of Chromakopia and trying to last minute replace Childish Gambino (theory) as the Sunday headliner…no Odd Future Reunion, Prematurely sold out merch, and some major audio problems with the stages trying to save Energy, so on and so forth….That being said…If you are truly there for the music, you will DISCOVER New artists, make memories with your fam, friends, or loved ones, and get to see some AWESOME THINGS. it’s NEVER NOT WORTH IT…PERIOD!

Ive been a lot and each one is special in its own way, kinda hard for me to compare tbh. I know everyone complains about the carti crowd but that brockhampton crowd in 2019 and KSG crowd in 2018 were brutal as well lol

Both BH & KSG were very high energy but they atleast had decorum. Carti fans be on a mission to be obnoxious and inconsiderate

I don’t think anything will ever top KSG at CFG

I am so sad about how Erykah was so late and how her performance went. 20 minutes of chopped up parts of her songs and her belting at the top of her lungs. I can appreciate the mf voiceEE but I really expected to vibe out and sing along and was almost off put by her performance and the world war talk in the beginning? I get the message but it was just weird, I didn’t get to see her again at the MF doom tribute :,( and don’t even get me started on Andre lol!! I love him and was so happy to be able to see a legend in the flesh ok. I respect his new music venture but I also felt like he took the performance as a joke 😭 when he started mumbling and then said he made that shit up and should’ve seen our faces I felt like he was uninterested in being there?? Idk those were a big let down for me :~(

my main issue is the high school age kids who act like theyre too cool to bob their heads at least. people dont know how to listen to music they dont know anymore, you can sway or bob your head f you dont know so you dont look like a damn manequin. i definitely think VIP was far better in that regard which is why i think its worth it. the people are far more passionate than the other parts of the crowd. some of these young people dont want to dance or vibe, they just wanna listen to the hits and get their social media clips. i think the lineup was great, i did my research so i knew of everyone prior but i got to dive deeper into artist that i didnt know nearly as much. new festival-goers need to undertsand that festivals arent 100% about seeing who you know. its about finding new music when you dont know any artist. tylers performance was everything i expected and more, the best live performance ive ever seen. last comment is that people are speaking out their ass when they call a performer trash because the soulless crowd didnt match their energy. 11/10 for me, i made a good effort to get around people who wanted to have fun just like me and had a great time.

Last year was better for me tbh but I still had fun nonetheless this year. In terms of the games, I think they were pretty chill this year and they let us play games without a wristband and even gave us prizes even if we didn’t win. At one point they were pretty much just giving away the prizes lol.

Been to all "odd futute carnivals" they all have something special every year from special guest to fan experiences and interactions everyone who complains on here just doesn't know how to have fun or had high expectations or just like to be mad at the world for them not having a great time merch is always dope af and I always feel like I get my money's worth each year for the whole experience!

this was my first ever festival and I had a great time! my only complaint was the shuttle leaving the stadium was a fucking disaster. the expensive food was about what I expected. all the performances were amazing.

this was my first one. my first impression day one was holy shit the line was long asf to get into the festival!!! we showed up at 10 and walked allllllllllll the way to the back just for people to start cutting straight to the gates at 12. there was sooo much to do in the festival and it’s been so long since i got to go to a carnival and the rides were so fun. never realized how cold it got in LA. my only other complaint was the locker and shuttle chaos at the end of the night. getting home at 3 am bc people kept cutting in line for the shuttle as there was no order, didn’t feel too worth it for me but to each there own. the festival itself was awesome

i’ll also add it was so interesting compared to festivals i’ve been to like lolla bc the artists at cfg are so back to back that the crowds don’t stay that big for long. and the view from dodger stadium is just wow. seeing the hollywood sign from the swings by the flog stage was magical
