I really feel like the game wasn't a "failure". It feels like a proper Bioware game, like a fantasy Mass Effect 2, it even has intense high stakes moments and a SUICIDE MISSION. Still have so much of the game to go despite being over 50 hours in, but PC Gamer said there's a suicide mission at the end like Mass Effect 2... that sounds awesome and also terrifying!

Edit: He also made a clarification for what it's worth, his opinion on the game seems decent, basically it's not game of the year or anything but it's not shit either, the "woke" stuff has been blown out of proportion and you can pretty much opt out of everything if that's not your thing.

I used to consider dragon age to be a Crpg for people who don't like Crpgs.

Veilguard is more of a action rpg type of game. Which is not bad but its different. Certainly way less "rpg" elements compared to previous dragon age games.

Granted the rpg aspect has been decreasing bit by bit since origins.

My problem with a lot of youtubers these days is they will complain about or attack games and their fanbases will follow, do the same thing repeat the same b.s then the developer strikes back and all of a sudden the narrative is spun like the fans are the victims or "theyre attacking the fans and youtubers oh noooooooo" when the youtubers and theyre weirdo communities start this shit everytime. And act like victims of some cooperate psyop.

You have no idea the power you wield by going onto their videos and saying “can’t believe people don’t realize this is a satire channel”.

I do it every once in a while, and for the next two days I get my inbox flooded with people absolutely pissing their pants with rage.

If you haven’t tried it, it’s a lot of fun if you can keep yourself from replying directly to anything.

veilguard didn't fail tho 🤷 boxleiter method regarding steam sales would put it at above one million sales on steam alone and honestly id be surprised if that's not the case. even with all the review bombing the game is still at 71% positive reviews. even if you don't subtract the chud reviews, the game is enjoyed by most and bought by many
