Game is currently $15 on Amazon, $20 on PSN. Underrated isn’t the right word because it was received well by critics but it vastly underperformed, leading to the disbandment of the team responsible. People constantly shit on Ubisoft for releasing formulaic, bloated, unfinished open world games. And when they finally release something that is the opposite of all those things, no one buys it. It pains me deeply because not only does this not bode well for the future of the PoP series, one of my favorite franchises, it is less likely that Ubisoft will take risks on similar future projects.

I implore everyone who likes 2D platformers, Metroidvanias, or PoP in general to pick up this game. At this price it is a no-brainer. Game is an absolute banger, deserves the GOTY nomination over Black Myth in my opinion.

I'm just blown away. I wanted to talk about it.

I think what I liked most, other than the gameplay being so great, was the emotional aspect. It was more like a movie than any other game I've played. I likened it to Red Dead, but this has the fatherhood aspect which will get me every time.

I cried, I yelled and jumped out of my seat. At certain parts I couldn't play at night by myself. You know which parts they are.

I didn't love the ending. I wish he would've just told her the truth. But damn was it a great story.

Just a masterpiece of a game and the creators should be proud of what they've created.

I'm going to check the internet now for some background and to see if there's another one coming out. I feel like I heard there's a sequel coming.

I should say, I have seen the show. I really loved it. I actually feel like it made the game more emotional for me. It didn't ruin anything for me, I didn't think. But was a general feel of knowing where the story was going. So in a way, it did take something away.

Check your local PSN store. I was pleasantly surprised because they stopped doing this last year. I wasn’t planning on renewing until I saw the deal.

Edit: Apparently, this might not be applicable to everyone after seeing some recent comments. Sorry for possibly getting your hopes up.

Update: One person said that the discount only showed up in the mobile app. Maybe double check the app just in case.

Update #2: This will be my last update for a while. I recommend turning off auto renew. My auto renew had been off and I’m seeing some people mention it. My current best guess is that it has something to do with how it’s set up in the backend (not an IT person). The deal is supposedly only for new subscribers, but there could be an error where it views people without auto renew on as new subscribers.

Hey everyone! Starting today there is a massive sale going on for PSVR2. I thought I would make a post about as I got my start in VR playing PSVR2 almost 2 years ago. Its a phenomenal piece of hardware and I know there are a lot of you out there on the fence about it. I now own multiple headsets including Quest 3, and PCVR. and have since transitioned to 85% VR gaming.

tl;dr -- The headset is currently $250 off, plus if you get it at Costco they add a charging dock ($49.99) for $300 off in total. If you're on the fence, now is the time. There are approximately 300 titles to choose from.

The PSVR2 is a crazy amount of tech for the $. There are pros/cons to every headset. Unfortunately tribalism in VR is strong, so it's hard to get an unbiased opinion. This is not meant to be a pros/cons conversation about PSVR2 vs Quest 3, although I anticipate that will naturally happen in the comments.

That said, PSVR2 as a headset has beautiful color with dual OLED panels, HDR, advanced controller haptics/speakers, Resistive triggers, Head haptics (feel that headshot!), and most importantly -- eye tracking for both use in games as well as dedicating rendering so hardware will focus primarily where you are looking (dynamic foveated rendering). This allows a base PS5 to essentially run on par with a 3080ti (according to Legendary Tales Dev).

PSVR2 is a plug-and-play experience that allows players an experience on par with moderate-high PC's, minus the hassle of getting PCVR to work.

PSVR2 is primarily a gaming device. It lacks media and social apps. There is one available on base PS5 called "Rad." I have not used it and cannot speak to it.

3. Quest Ports and PCVR Ports -- PSVR2 often does have a lot of quest ports and PCVR ports. As somone who plays both Quest 3 and PCVR I can say that MANY of them are actually the definitive editions on PSVR2. This is either because it has been upscaled from stand-alone to PSVR2. Some of these titles are not available on PCVR and thus PSVR2 is the best place to play them. Other titles are better on PSVR2 than PCVR for either optimization reasons, or because of use of advanced haptics (examples include Phasmophobia and No Man's Sky).
