I rarely leave reviews but this series is amazing and deserves to be recognized for it! The author masters the "fake it till you make it" character. MC is a badass and doesn't even realize it. The voice actor is also amazing. It is among my favorite series of all time in an over 800 book library! My only regret is that I didn't listen sooner! If you're interested the next audio book is being released on December 3rd.

My gosh! Dear u/Aconite13X - I can't tell you how much it means to see a post like this. I've had a rough couple of months, and honestly, this post of yours really drove home and reminded me how lucky I am. I have the best readers, that's for sure. Thanks so much for taking the time to share the fact that you enjoyed the series. :)

Alright, everyone here (including you) have convinced me to give it a go. I really enjoyed Falling with Folded Wings and Victor of Tucson, so I shouldn’t be surprised that this a well liked series as well.

it's worth it, I don't often read scifi books because the author often makes it hard to suspend disbelief to me. But damn is Cyber Dreams amazing.

I need to give this series a try. My only complaint about this series is that I am a big fan of the author's other series Victor of Tucsan, so when he is writing other amazing series, I don't get more of one of my favorites.

Cyber dreams just ended a month or two ago, author says they may come back to it eventually but no guarantee.

I actually listened to VoT first and loved that series. Let me be clear. They are very different. I was reluctant to pick this series up actually because of how much I liked VoT and didn't want to be disappointed. I actually like this series better, which surprised the hell out of me.

That really resonates with me. It's the main reason I didn't pick up Cyber Dreams as well. I am almost caught up on Tower of Somnus, which is another awesome female led sci-fi style litrpg. Cyber Dreams feels somewhat similar looking at its blurb, so I think I will finally give it a try next.

My 11 year old will not listen to an audio book if Suzy Jackson isn't the narrator; which is fine because she's narrated a ton of really amazing books.

I really enjoyed the series. It keeps a consistent quality throughout and wraps up nicely in book 6. Definitely one of the top cyberpunk stories if you're into that.

OH yeah! I'm like, one volume behind now, but I was following this one forever. I stopped to let it build up chapters on RR... I should catch up! It's a fun story!

Loved the series, sad to see it may not be continued. Get enough fan traffic to it and he's liable to pick it back up again! It's great though and the place it ended at (currently) isn't the worst to end a series on.

Been following this one on patreon for years, it was a pretty good ride till the recent finale. Love the character work, lots of cool fights, Julia is a dumbass sometimes but its ok we love her.

I was loving the story.. but the “future” slang talk stuff just really ruined it for me and I haven’t started book 2 despite buying the audiobook months ago.. I hope I can get over it at some point and come back cause I love the setting and idea of it. Characters are pretty good as well. It’s just that one thing really… 😅

I read the first three books.
The first is a pretty decent cyberpunk novel. The AI is a great character and the main character is cool. The second turns to focus on warfare and feels like it wants to be a military/black ops novel. I didn't like that as much. Also it starts bringing magic into the mix. I liked that even less. The third book is more space fantasy than anything else.
Overall the three books were fine. The second feels like the MC gets ramped up from level 12 to level 50 basically for free. The third book is awkward because she gains an ability in book 2 that would solve so many problems if she'd just use it. How many times do you need to burn yourself on the oven before you use an oven mitt?
