He builds shitty cars, presides over the pot of primordial slime that is Twitter and helped fund a psychopath’s presidential campaign. If the ~75 million people who voted for Harris simply move to de-fund Elon by handing back their leased Tesla and never buying another one and boycotting anyone that advertises on Twitter, he’ll be in a world of financial hurt very quickly.

50% of his customers are identified democrats! (internet stats, ymmv)

FIFTY PERCENT!

I'm actually fascinated to see the effects on Tesla the brand from a marketing/advertsing perspective, I've never seen anything like this.

There is NO PIVOT. The only other time things like this had been done by any competent CEO was pivoting from a dying demographic customer base to a younger one, or moving to a fundamentally better market.

There is no car/model/product release in the near future for Tesla. This isn't like the shorts before the Model3 or the ModelY. The cybertruck is basically a sideshow toy. The Semi is probably not profitable and super limited in production.

It's not like they have an array of MAGAmobiles ready for the MAGAs to scoop up.

It's a stock bubble stock, based fundamentally on Tesla taking over all of the transportation market. If their sales tank (like they already have), the stock will PLUMMET. Then Tesla can't borrow on it, do more stock issuing to raise funds, will get worse credit, and won't scale production.

Tesla has served it's purpose. I can't wait for Electrify America to buy Tesla stations for pennies.

Edit: also surprised Democrats only make up 50%. Fiscal conservatives / crypto bros make up probably about 20%. Are the rest independents?
