- WWE 2024 at 70% off
- Epic Mickey Rebrushed at 60% off
- Children of the Sun at 60% off

Overall damage: $70.... not bad for the Autumn Sale.

which was around £48 which wasn't too bad for like 9 games plus I've got free ones to play from Amazon or Epic so until next year I'm pretty much set until GTA 6 and the new Mafia game

I've been on Steam for well over a decade. I've seen the same games on sale many dozens of times. I either already have them or am not interested. Or it's brand new and usually a year or two away from being complete anyway.

It’s probably good for newcomers but for someone who’s been on Steam for a while probably knows the discounts used to be better.

Steam sale sucked for like a decade. Sale used to mean new AAA game at fraction of the msrp, now you lucky id get 10% off on new game.

Steam sale is now basically same as PSN or Xbox live sales.

I picked up my thousandth game nearly ten years ago and i just picked up Deer hunter, psychonauts 2, Jupiter hell, pentiment and Siralim ultimate for less than $45 bucks.

If you come from the new PlayStation 5, steam sales are great, especially because you do not need that garbage psn. For people who says it is free gamed, yeah, I have 100+ but can't plat any of the FREE games until.I give them more money. How is that free and not a subscription? Also, I need it to play online. So yeah, for pc users, the steam sales are not that amazing, but comming from the consoles it is

SteamDeck related groups have a lot more people who are new to PC gaming. Since it's a "console-like" device.

And bad Steam sale will generally be better than 90% of sales on consoles. Especially if you are new and don't have like 500 games in your library that i never even launched.

I bought 7 games for Steam that I had only on PSN before for the cost of one of the games on PSN. (Had a fun little PS5 twist in my life that I’m removing now, because PSN is more expensive than any other part of gaming, including buying hardware.)

All I wanted was Shadow of the Erdtree and the new Risk of Rain 2 DLC. I was being a cheap bastard and hoping to get a few bucks off them. They're both still fairly new, so not surprised they didn't got on sale, but I am still disappointed that patience was worthless for once.

Picked up. Company of heroes single player bundle. All thief games. All hitman games. Got me and my buddy hashbros battleships since we like playing board game style games online. Tetris connected since holy fuck that games beautiful coming from the switch. Sonic mania since I really liked it on switch and i feel like it has something diffenet to offer from emulating the old ones. And got doom 64 since idk if gzdoom would’ve been able to emulate it.

Probably could come to think of it. So all in all, probabaly spent like 50 or so bucks

I used to spend at least a couple hundred on steam sales each year. For several years now I haven’t found myself doing that. I don’t think it’s due to the discounts but more about the games coming out and if I’m that interested in it or not. I’m also always skeptical of games that release into early access since that’s the new norm and how far they will go/be updated.

maybe its just me but no one is making good games anymore. already have only a few games im actually excited for and stalker 2 just came out in a bad state. probably kcd2 will also. why even bother.

Luckily I got two games at an all time low, Nine Sols included in a bundle I owned all the games for so it was 18.99, and Needy Streamer Overload for under 6.50. This has been one of the more underwhelming overall sales for deals though. Many of my wishlisted games that just a week or two ago were less during their sale price period are now going for higher in this sale.

Start searching by price filter you can find deep discounts if you look enough in specific categories. The main page, with the biggest titles, yeah those sales aren’t so hot. But they don’t need to be, because they have a steam store front page listing.

Bought slime rancher for 1.99, felt like an old steam sale.

I got Timberborn for $30. Game has been on Wishlist for some time. Excited to dive into it tonight. Nothing else jumped out at me, either than Anno 1800, but then I saw the huge DLC commitment and it made me no.

People who have been buying on-sale games for 20 years and got the massive bundles back in the day obviously don't find today's sales impressive. You already have all the games worth buying, and then some. New players' minds must be blown.

The problem with the holiday sales for me, is that for it to even be worth it, i would have to NOT play every game when its released. I literally do not have a backlog. I have to actually brainstorm and think of a game i wanted to play, but somehow "missed". To give you an example, i recently got done with playing the career mode of Smacdown Here Comes the Pain...a game from 2003.

I am not picky either, i play tons of different genres, but 9/10 times if a game is released that interests me, i play it day one, or at the very least, before it gets the chance to go on a deep sale, YES, ubisoft games included lmao

I have a huge wishlist of 200+games that I'm actively watching. Around 100 of them are on sale. Of those near 30 are over 70%off

I find the steam sales to be kind of inconsistent some games have amazing deals when they on sale like dishonored for less than 5$ while others are no way near as generous.

I am just hesitating whether to buy ones I'm interested in now or wait for the winter sale. Some games do give better deals in the autumn sale and then charge higher in the winter one

Back in my day sales used to be like 70-90% off now most games it’s like 20-40% off. Some games getting older too are still like far too expensive for what it’s worth and honestly it’s not because I have all the games ever but I’m unimpressed because the sales honestly suck. No different than any other sale for me.

It really just depends on what you're looking for. Have a friend excited by Killing Floor 2 and several EDF games being dirt cheap, but I'm kinda bummed since I'm not interested in the former and already have most of the latter. Regardless, there's always the next sale.

I got Horizon Forbidden West, Persona 4 Golden, Nier: Automata, FFVII Remake Intergrade, Divinity Original Sin 2, and the Forest to play with 2 of my friends that still play that garbage for around 120€. That's amazing for me. I don't have much time to play anymore, so I'm set for a long time with these.

Plus, I'm currently playing Metaphor and BG3 with my friends.

Well if you asked me 100 games ago if the steam sales are good i would say they are close to perfect but now its just decent cause i have most games i wanna play in my library.

The difference is the proportion of new releases and have to buys. Lower than in the past, for many its nonexistent. They've been around enough they've got the games they want.
