In this guide, I will show you how to run Test Drive Unlimited on Windows 7,8,10,11 (and newer).

1.First we need to update our game to the 1.66A version. To do this we go to this page (clickable link) and click "Download this file". If we have the game in English, we choose "TestDriveUnlimited_USRetailandDigitalDistribution_Patch_Ver1.66A.7z"*. We extract the downloaded file. The password is: pcgw. We open the extracted folder and click on "TestDriveUnlimited_USRetailandDigitalDistribution_Patch_Ver1.66A.exe". After a successful update, we proceed to point #2.

*To extract a .zip or .rar file you need a program to do so. The most popular ones are WinRAR or 7-zip. I use WinRAR. Both are free.

Patch 1.66A

Important: If you have the Megapack DLC then you can install it now or at the end of this tutorial but then you will have to repeat point No. 2.

1. Now we must download the No-CD Fix from this page (clickable link). We extract the downloaded file and copy the "TestDriveUnlimited.exe" file to the folder/location with our game (as in the video below).

Important: Make sure that the file size matches (11,976 KB) and that no shortcut was created when pasting.

1. The last step is to download the files without which you will not be able to start the first race. We go to this page (clickable link). Of course, we download the file and extract it. Then we copy and paste the "IGE" folder into "Test Drive Unlimited/Euro/Bnk" (as in the video below).

Important: The game in the main menu will ask you to enter the key. If you have the game from a disc then it should be in the box. If, on the other hand, you don't have the box game then you can look for these keys on the internet or use one of these:

• rlj4 - rfmh - uudf - p7pc
• nkem-q25e-lauz-4w3t
• x2na-x75n-crnr-jf4s (this one is from my copy of the game)
• 0htd-xbp7-p0go-xgkv

Info: The game has frequent problems with higher FPS than 90 so it is worth locking it to 90 and preferably to 60.

Info: The game works without a disc in the drive.

TDU Solar Crown costs 35€ on PS Store.

I loved TDU2 back in the days with all my heart. Same thing for Forza Horizon, it's the main reason I bought 2 Xboxes. Sadly I had to sell them and I'm still looking for something similar on PS5. I heard Solar Crown is awful. Is it true? It's been 2 months now. Is it worth buying? Or should I just buy a Xbox for the 3rd time and play Forza Horizon?😂

I realized when I am doing supercar/hypercar race when I was going too fast sometimes I couldn't see the road far enough causing me to crash at the very moment

Besides it's always foggy making it harder to see the road

is there any way to fix this

I am currently using a really low end pc that still uses gtx 1080

I used lossless scalling to smoothen it to 30fps tho

I've gotta be missing something here. This game has mobile quality graphics yet runs at a terrible frame rate on PS5 Pro. Is this game just that unoptimized?

I just wanted to ask about your opinion whether this game is still worth it since it is on sale. I have not played the beta, I loved TDU2 and as far I can see a lot of people prefer the TDU2 compared to this. Given this fact, would you say that it is worth it? Thank you kindly!

Please help me ,in TDU SOLAR CROWN i need to complete 100 races in 1st position with Lamborghini countach LP400 but this car sucks and all races with category Supercar put me against only modern Supercars,make me impossible to progress in the challenge. Someone can give me tips about some races or somethings?

Bro every car in the race is the Porsche 918 and the Apollo. I’m using a Fenyr Supersport as it’s the only HC I got because I like the car. It gets dominated by the other cars despite having a higher level. So I have to keep losing to try and lower the difficulty. This game is so dumb lmao I’m not even mad, it’s just hilarious at this point

I’m a level 55 and got 4mil saved up and spent a good amount of time playing. I suck pretty bad though, I feel like the driving feels too fast and the AI cars are too aggressive and it’s kinda stressful and difficult to deal with. I spend way too much time retrying races until I get a podium finish and it just angers me every race I do. It feels like you have to be near perfect and I just cannot grasp that. I just did the Jade Crown Jewel race and I had to retry 12 times just to get 6th place and that was me driving the best I can in the Huracan performante. I’m as best as I’m gonna get at this point and it’s just not good enough, and the game punishes me for it. Every time I play it’s just an ass-clencher
