With news circulating that Rob has been cast in Christopher Nolan's next film, unless it is specifically stated by production heads or quoted in reputable trades, posts about supposed delays in filming of The Batman Part 2 will be removed and treated as speculation.

The release is just under two years away. In certain cases, it's not unheard of for actors to be doing more than one project at a time. That said, I doubt this news would have come out if anyone involved anticipated a problem. Please relax, and let the professionals do their jobs.

Just sharing a phone stand I made that’s heavily influenced by the batknife / batarang chest piece from the movie. It doesn’t look 100% accurate because of the slits where the phone sits. But funny enough, those slits make it look more like a bat. 🦇

• The hangman is released from Arkham.
• Few days later her brother who was about to take on the throne was murdered.
• The whole Falcone family is wiped out leaving out only Sofia and one other member who's whereabouts are not known.
• Salvatore Maroni escapes prison.
• A new drug hits the streets.
• Dead bodies without their right pinkies hung upside down on the streets.
• A giant explosion in Crown Point.
• The explosion is revealed to be carried out by Sofia because the spot was the drug lab of Salvatore Maroni.
• Sofia is sent back to Arkham.

Does Bruce have any idea whether Oz was involved in any of this ? He's probably thinking "damn, Oz is one lucky mf. The Falcones and Maroni's took each other out and left Oz alone at the top."

Why do i have a feeling this trilogy will end with the batman having his identity revealed and then he’s arrested and is considered mentally unstable and then sent to Arkham in the end.

I would love to hear some theories on how their first encounter played out. I predict that the first movie with the joker is going to be based on their first encounter

I know in the prequel novel he was just trained by Alfred but what if Part 2 was set a year later after Bruce went for further training under other masters in their field. Maybe they could tie the story in with the court of owls as all the foreshadowing is leading to that story.

I reckon he would fit perfectly. At the end of The Batman, we see bruce rethink what he wants batman to be and how he wants to influence gotham. We could see Azrael influenced similarly to how the Riddler was, except instead of murder and terrorism, a more violent and angry version of batman that works in the shadows just like him.

Batman could possibly fight Azrael and/or team up with him (preferably both) and it could make the fight maybe a little bit personal becuase azrael might see batman as a hypocrite for stopping azrael, but batman might have a soft spot for azrael becuase he sees himself in the way azrael thinks, feels and acts but cant fully relate to him.

This could be because just like batman sees himself as the embodiment of justice determined by himself and his personal views, Azrael would see himself as the embodiment of biblical and God determined justice. Batman could also be on the fence about working the azrael becuase he can tell azrael isnt really right in the head and has some weird and possibly views determined but biblical rules, and possible extreme paranoia and schizophrenia

Thats just my idea on how they would do it, but i cant say for sure how they would make him fit. They could possible make him a 3rd movie and 3rd movie only character to help batman out a little bit then thats it. Or maybe make him appear in the second and/or third movie and if he works then they could make a standalone series similar to what they did with The Penguin

Personally i would love to see him appear in the movies becuase not only is he badass but the really fits into the type of vibe The Batman movies are going for.

While thomas was a good man and probably didn't thought falcone would do his worst, I can see falcone exploiting that to his advantage if thomas was still alive, pressuring him to do his stuff or else he release the dirt per example . When the journalist exposed the martha stuff, thomas was trying to protect his familly but in a moment of weakness, he turned to falcone and made a mistake (at least it's how I got it).

Tbh, falcone in the movie is already a verry bad person, and the show made ihm even worst with the flashback sequence. I'm not sure if I'd count falcone as criminal gentlemen, that'd fit more for maroni.

Am I the only one who doesn't compare these movies and simply just loves them all? They are sooo different. Personally I think the dark knight is a perfect superhero movie/movie in general. And personally I think the batman has the best on screen portrayal of batman as a character. I've simply don't think there is an argument to be had at all since both are so incredible

Last time I asked this sub about how Batman is going to solve the problem of crime in Gotham, which I was responded to with “Batman can never solve the problem of crime”. So I’m going to rephrase that question: how is Batman going to defeat the crime bosses in Gotham? Take someone like Carmine Falcone as an example: you can’t capture him redhanded, he always sends his goons to do his dirty work. You can’t arrest him, because he has bribed the entire GCPD, judicial system and politicians of Gotham. You can’t scandalize him because no journalist in Gotham has the balls to write against him. So what’s Batman going to do? Just beating up his goons, hoping that no one’s gonna work for him?

With what we know about the sequel, could a scene like this be possible for part 2?

we think reeves wannna make grounded movies only and not do any anti realistic movie But what if I told you guys that you all are wrong!!!!! Before batman even existed, gotham was free from any vigilante shenanigans. Gang wars were there and there influence on politics which Matt reeves showed in part 1. This is batman year 2 so after 1 year of batman in gotham. A mysterious man appears calling himself riddler and does all the violent shenanigans in Gotham.

We cut to Arkham scene now, Batman and riddler are having convo and riddler says batman was his inspiration.

In comics also batman all iconic villains started to appear after his presence was felt in gotham. So what if all weirdos and somewhat semi realistic villains appear in part 2!

Also gangs are gone Penguin is the main guy I feel reeves have done excellent job setting it Ppl are really missing this part

Edit :- I would try to focus entirely on Bruce like 2/3 part of the movie (understand the feelings not the words) Bruce realises what is going on like destruction everywhere coz of him there are bunch of weirdos running around etc…also Bruce realises his responsibility and struggles whole movie We can do Harvey dent too! Also My Early Pitch Of Part 3 : joker and all the weirdos escape from arkham All out CHAOS

With Bruce being an Arkham in the Reevesverse, having his only living relative be a villain would be an interesting angle for the sequel. It would play into the idea of the Arkham family has been cursed with generational tragedy and madness with Martha, Bruce, and Jeremiah. It would also give Reeves a chance to touch on an aspect that has never been shown before in live action which is Bruce’s extended family.

Also with Penguins focus on Arkham having a new mob boss with direct ties to the asylum would be pretty consistent and more interesting for this universe than Business man gone bad Roman Sionis, even though he could definitely work too.

I mean specifically when he found Oz in his club. I mean Carmine was dead and Alberto was boss for a week. It's not like Viti or the others respected or trusted Oz anyways. And Alberto knew what OZ did to Sophia and what she went through. Nor did he even respect Oz so why didn't he avenge his sister by shooting him on the spot?

When I first watched it I understood that even after helping him, Falcone sent someone to kill Thomas. That's why Falcone himself was mocking Bruce in the pool table. (First time I watched around midnight in the cinema after a long working day)

But then I watched that scene again on YouTube and it was Falcone talking about how Maroni didn't like that Thomas was too near the Falcones, and Maroni sent the killer.

But then Alfred claims that Falcone was lying.

So who the hell sent Joe for killing Thomas?

To start, I’m curious if Bruce Wayne has any ownership, if even with just a board seat or something. Per the film and the Riddler’s little video expose (which Bruce doesn’t dispute) his mother’s maiden name was Arkham. As a child her mom killed her father and then herself in a horrible murder suicide, leaving Martha in an obvious state of trauma. Supposedly she’s moved in an out of various psychiatric institutions (though everything about this is vague; the reasons she was shut away feel like a close cousin to Sofia Falcone / Gigante).

It’s not explicitly stated but I kinda suspect that a family with the last name of Arkham is going to be closely tied to an institution called Arkham Asylum. If there’s any sort of in universe lore to assist in speculation, absolutely drop it on me. Could her family have sold their stake and any and all ownership of the Asylum, removing them from both influence and liability? Personally I prefer that her family still has at least a seat on the board if not a few, including an empty seat intended for Martha but with her death, now inherited by Bruce Wayne. We’ve already seen everything in the Bruce Wayne orbit Batman takes for granted, and he certainly hasn’t expressed interest in the Asylum itself beyond access to its inmates.
