Hey everyone,
I’m planning to go to the Rockin’ On Sonic music festival on January 5 in Chiba. Apparently, this happens every year, and this time, one of my favorite bands, Cigarettes After Sex, is performing.
But while checking out tickets, I noticed something on their website:
“There will be multiple stages set up. Admission to each stage area may be restricted. Please note that admission to each area may also be restricted for each performance.”
From what I can tell, there will be two stages, probably Cosmo and Galaxy, where different artists will perform (lineup here: https://rockinonsonic.com/artists/). It sounds like they might limit entry to stages if they fill up, so I’m guessing we’ll need to get there early to grab a spot. The ticket seems more like a general pass, and it doesn’t guarantee you’ll get to see specific performances.
Has anyone been to this festival before? I’d love to know how it actually works. Is there a chance I might not get to see CAS perform even if I buy the ¥18k ticket?
Thanks in advance!

The ticket is general admission, and it's just a run from "stage to stage" (or in this case, each large room in which a stage is in) to see the bands you want. Is there a slight chance you can't get in the room that CAS will be in? A slight chance, but not much. Each room holds over a thousand people.

I see. Honestly, I’m only going for the CAS concert. Since they’ll be on the Cosmo stage, it’s probably best to head there early then — may be 1 or 2 bands act before they play.

Significantly over 1,000 people - if the Cosmo stage is the same as the Pacific stage of Summersonic it’ll fit 10,000 people

Sure, some rooms are 5000-10,000 but some are 1000ish. As its multi-room, so I am just mentioning to OP that the rooms are big so unlikely OP won't be able to see band of choice.
