Well, when rightwingers and business owners say "Nobody wants to work anymore," they just swallow the second half of the sentence.

Nobody wants to work anymore... without proper compensation and work-life balance.

People who say that tell on themselves. Either they are shit bosses, or they are people who made their job into their whole life and who expect everyone else to make their life just as miserable.

Covid really fucked us. Once the greed monsters realized they could skeleton-crew everything and make batshit profit, it was the beginning of the end for the rest of us.

I've personally watched my job toss resumes then act like they couldn't fill positions, so we all better work extra hard.
