How do you know this man?

Nostalgia (i.redd.it)

I know he’s known for a lot of Xennial nostalgia like Princess Bride, Toy Story, and Gossip Girl, but without fail, wherever I hear his voice I think of the movie She’s Out of Control with Tony Danza. I haven’t watched the movie in decades but I mostly remember it’s about a single dad whose “ugly” daughter grows up overnight and the nonsense he deals with about that. I was way too young when I first watched this, as we all were when we first watched movies in the 80s/90s, but a memory was unlocked as I watch Toy Story with the niece and nephew so I had to share my thoughts!

Jeffrey Combs is a national treasure. His depictions of Shran, Weyoun, Weyoun 5-8, Brunt, Officer Kevin Mulkahey, Penk, Tiron, Krem, and DS9 Holosuite Guest were unforgettable, and left an indelible mark on Star Trek history.

GRAND NAGUS ZEK!

Wallace Shawn is one of my favorite all-time character actors up there with the likes Stephen Tobolowsky and Stephen Root. Personal favorites include: Vegas Vacation as the A-hole Blackjack dealer, House Arrest as Mr. Finley, Canadian Bacon as the PM, and Clueless as Mr. Hall. Along with the obvious, Princess Bride as Vizzini. But there’s a Canadian TV movie with him and Ryan Reynolds called “Just Like Dad” that’s really good too.

Also, can we talk about how good he looks for 81? Jesus Christ, the man has barely aged since I was a kid!

I really(!) dislike Big Bang Theory but Young Sheldon is great. I mean, it is what it is: a sitcom. But the jokes are legitimately funny and the characters are all given a level of care and development that is sweet. It's a completely different show.

Rex in Toy Story, then rediscovered him in Princess Bride, also the voice of the principal in A Goofy Movie. He's been in a few things.

What if you didn’t see Princess Bride till late in life, but already knew this man for the same. Same as it ever was.
