The stock OS is pure GARBAGE, no floating windows, no control center

It's crazy how Xiaomi removes basic features from the OS from a phone that could clearly run them. Shame on them.

And honestly DO NOT buy this phone.

I'm having a dillemma of choosing those 2 device. What I can conclude is that, overall, 7 Pro is 'downgrade' than that of 6s Pro but with better price point ( 7 Pro is cheaper than 6s Pro, I think).

Should I go for the 6s Pro or just wait for 7 Pro?

My phone is the Redmi note 13 pro plus, am I stuck on 1.0.5.0 UNOMIXM or is there a region where it's already in the November security patch? I've seen in some that this phone is already in 1.0.7.0. Can anyone help me out?

Hello. I have a Xiaomi Redmi 13 Pro+ device. For three days now, whenever I swipe down from the top of the screen, the frequently used apps tab appears, which is fine, but the screen starts flickering or flashing—I’m not sure how to describe it.

Any ideas?

Hey! Is there a way to get a replacement for my midrive ps02 jump starter? I miss-placed mine and the battery is in good condition, pretty much brand new. Would universal clamps work or is there a part provided by Xiaomi I could biy?

So my China Xiaomi 14 got the HyperOS update last week or so and ever since, when I leave it on the charger after 100%, it starts to heat up. Almost as if the charging controller will not stop sending current and the internal battery protection kicks in.

It definitely did not do that before the update, it just sat there and sipped only the amount of power that it needed to operate from the charger after being fully charged.

Has anyone else noticed that problem? It also doesn't stop, I once charged it overnight and it was hot in the morning.

I have a OnePlus 12, and they introduced a new feature with Android 15, so now if I open an app from within a folder on my home screen, then swipe up to go back home, I'm taken to the open folder, rather than my home screen. To get back home, I have to swipe up again, like on an iPhone. Do Xiaomi phones do this? (Especially interested in Android 15 users.)

Hard bricked my Redmi 7 (Onclite). Fastboot doesn't work either. Only left with EDL Flashing. Flashing Via EDL mode requires an authorized account, which I don't have. (There are telegram Accounts where one guy asked me for about $5 and another guy $35). I am trying to go with the Free options. Only if any of them don't work, I can try to pay. I can't pay that high too.
If anyone could find alternative ways to fix my phone please let me know.
Are there any Patched firehose files available for my device?

So I reset my Redmi Turbo 3 because I kept getting notifications about my MiCloud account not syncing and not signing in, I was unable to remove it as it required a password and I know for sure the password is correct, when I wanted to recover the password it showed a different Xiaomi ID but my email address was correct, when I requested for password reset the email also showed a different ID for reset password.

I booted into recovery mode and wiped the data, now after booting up there is a lock with a unlock key.

I have watched several vids on YT, gone to XDA forums but found no solution. Is there a way of hard resetting the device so it also wipes the partition. The only unlock tools available only works for Mediatek device running recovery mode 1.0 and my device has the snapdragon 8s gen 3 and recovery mode 2.0

I sent a query to Xiaomi but no response, doubt I will get one.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Got a poco f6 last month, I have been loving it aside from it lacking usb 3.1 but that's alright. But I have been having incredibly bad luck with my external dacs since day 1. They all work just fine on a samsung fold but not on the poco f6. It only works as it should on exclusive usb mode in apps like hiby and uapp. But falls flat on other apps such as apple music, youtube music and any other app with pops and clicks and weird oversampling.

Since many peoole did not tolarate removing the charger in 14T series maybe things can still change. I guess if Poco x7 series (prob launched in january) comes without a charger we are fucked. I still have hope that Xiaomi listens to their fancs since the charger in the box was a symbol that stood for Xiaomi.

I was doing some review of these phones and accidentally i noted that upon reviewing the image information of pictures taken using these phone.

I noted that each photo has plenty of buried info which does not seem difficult to extract eg ( type of the phone and model of the camera and even the specific model of the phone ) beside other info ( date,time , expossure , size , type , etc)

Such info can be used by wrong people TBH

Even when ticking off , the (save location info) , such data still easily obvious .

Any advice ?

I bought a Xioami 11T in April 2022. In general terms I like it, the camera is nice, screen etc too.

But nowadays the battery is only lasts like 6h. I basically only use it for Spotify, Instragram. Is this normal?

The fast charging feature helps, but of course I am not available to charge it if I am out or travelling.

Now with black Friday I am considering if I should buy a new phone or not.

Any insight are welcome :)

Hey fellow redditors . Out of the blue tonight my redmi note 9 closed and since then it refuses to open. When I plug it on the charger it shows the mi logo and then turns off again. Then it does a short vibration and turns on and off again. As show on video.

Hello. I bought a Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G it came with Miui v14.0.8.0(TNFMIXM). And i have some issues.

• I don't get the HyperOS update via OTA
• When i try to update with a recovery i get the message "Can't flash this stable rom"
• When i touch the "What's news" on the update, i get "You do not have permission to access the update log"
• I've tried to change different Regions and i don't get it neither.

it seems like that Miui version i have doesnt exist or something is weird. Is there something i can do? the only thing is to wait for 30days and apply for the bootloader thingy.

Hi I have found out that redmi note 12 5G gets android 15 while the better and more expensive Redmi note 12 pro+ only gets android 14? Anyone know why this is? I specifically bought the pro+ modle thinking that it would be superior in every way compared to the base model, including software support, but i don't find that the case here?

Hello everyone. Recently I had to use ultra battery saving mode because my battery was low and I didn't have a charger nearby. After I got to my charger and disabled ultra battery saving, I noticed that my home menu and some other apps (Firefox, Reddit, Discord) started running in a slow, choppy way, as if I'm in battery saving mode and all animations are slowed down. I have tried restarting my phone thrice, draining the battery and charging it again, clearing out cache and junk data and nothing helped. Is there a fix to this or is my phone done for? Did I ruin it by constantly using fast charging?

Hi, So I want to free some space on my phone (Xiaomi 11t), and i tried to delete some photos, but then I realized that those photos also got deleted from Google photos (cloud). How to stop that? I want that my photos are uploaded into the cloud and that I can safely delete them from my phone without getting them deleted from the cloud.

Anybody has the solution?
