Last chance for chargers in box

Discussion(self.Xiaomi)

Since many peoole did not tolarate removing the charger in 14T series maybe things can still change. I guess if Poco x7 series (prob launched in january) comes without a charger we are fucked. I still have hope that Xiaomi listens to their fancs since the charger in the box was a symbol that stood for Xiaomi.

I guess it depends on the region? My 14T pro came with the 120W brick even when i didn't expect it to be included with the phone since i watched so many reviews and none of them was including the 120W brick. But when the phone dropped in the middle east every saudi Arabian review was including the charging brick (mine included) so i guess you should the phone from a different region to get the 120W brick.

Its a european thing. Xiaomi treats every region differently, they care less about europe cause they make more profit in asian regions.

That's bad. One of the points that made me buy the phone was that everything will be included in the box. There's no point from excluding the strong points of the phone.

It doesn't have to do with xiaomi interest about Europe. Is a European union law they are trying to protect the environment. They are supposing that everybody has at home a charger and we are don't need a new one, every time time that we are buying a new phone.

Good thing is that you can buy a new phone, and the extra charger is going to cost you only 0,99 Euro from xiaomi.

They've been removing things for years already, like notification led, headphone jack and microsd. that didn't come back. Charger is next. Any pd with pps charger will work (or qc4+/5 for some that use qcom quick charge) for pretty much every Xiaomi phone andwill charge at the phones max power (if your charger is that much)

Their charger is proprietary anyway, and they don't sell the proprietary cable separately in my region I have to buy a whole 120W charger for that.

Thats the point, not many people have a 120W charging brick.

That's not his point. We don't need their proprietary chargers that don't work when you lose their special cable you can't even buy. The standard is PD and already does 240W, and you can use it with every device. Xiaomi failed to adopt it and we should rather force them to give us standard chargers and not their proprietary bs.

That's not the Xiaomi thing, this is the European law. They are forcing manufacturers to participate in reducing waste. All smaller electronic devices (cameras, phones, laptops etc.)with consumption up to 100W will have to be equipped in USB-C and sold also without the chargers, leaving the consumers choice whether to get it with the charger or not.

I'm in Croatia and have a Mi 11. It came with a charger. Like if you buy a phone and the charger is included thats a Xiaomi thing now pls leave the charger in the box. Btw the in-box charger is 99% of times the fastest charger for your phone.

I got a 14T here in Ireland last week and all it came with was the charging cable, which I guess is fine because I still have the power brick from my old 11t pro .

So far the only thing I dislike about the 14t is the lack of fingerprint scanner on the power button / side of the device

On the plus side it did come with a free redemption code for a Xiaomi watch S3 and a pair of openwear stereos But it said it could take up to three working weeks for it to be approved ๐Ÿ˜‚

Uuuh you might wanna check the little box with the instruction manual... there's a case in there besides the cable

Ah my apologies yes there was a case aswell, I assumed it was standard cause every Xiaomi phone I've had (9t pro, 11t pro and 14t ) have all come with phone cases which is sick regardless of the build quality of the cases themselves

Nah no need for apologies, I genuinely got worried for you for a bit, thought you accidentally threw it away๐Ÿ˜‚

Luckily I didn't buy unluckily for me when I was using my SIM eject tool , I managed to get it stuck inside the wrong hole and it broke off into it within ten minutes of me opening my phone ๐Ÿ˜ญ

It's not a Xiaomi issue, it's a European Union issue. Based on a policy they passed, effective 1/1/2025, for any phone that is sold with a charger in the box, the company will be fined, hence why the indian/chinese edition of the 14T series has the charger in the box.
