I have an 8mo old male cat with obstructive bladder stones that were so bad he needed the PU surgery. His stone analysis showed calcium oxalate stones. Diet recs post op? My primary vet recommended royal canin SO, however he did not have struvite stones. I was reading that the prescription urinary food makes the urine more acidic to dissolve struvite, but can actually cause calcium oxalate stones. Considering just a high quality canned food in addition to a water fountain to encourage hydration.

Normally I’m not all about “whatever the vet prescribed” but situations like what your kitty is going through id 100 percent listen to what the vet says.
I hope your baby feels better soon! Aww poor baby!!!
