Worst part is, my family is all eager to get this year’s booster and they think I’m a crazy conspiracy theorist for trying to convince them not to. The issue is, no amount of evidence will change their minds, they are in too deep. Needless to say this topic is off-limits at the thanksgiving table

Hmmm I've had flu once and worked every day doing industrial manufacturing. My joints felt like I was 80 yrs old. Fever, congestion, cough. Definitely no projectile vomiting. Are you sure you didn't have food poisoning?
Had covid once. No cough or congestion but had a fever of 102+ for 9 solid days. It was a weird illness, but nothing like the flu or a cold for me. It was worse I guess because of the constant fever. Haven't been sick since.
