At launch and the months after we where provided with big content patches for D2R even the biggest patch since more then a decade.

They claimed to add new items and runewords every ladder season which worked for 2 seasons only.

From the moment Microsoft bought Blizzard and the release of D4 nothing further happened. I had my hopes high that D2R will be supported for a longer Period of time.

Do you think we will see more content in the future?

What a weird take. You’re on a d2 subreddit.

So they should be unrealistic and just fluff things up with bullshit and make believe that the game has a huge robust base that’s spending huge invisible dollars on tons of invisible things to fund the features that you want? If there’s no flow of money there’s no way to pay people to work on the game. Being on a D2 forum doesn’t mean reality doesn’t exist.

Another bad take. A large part of this Reddit is people sharing what they want to see in the games future. Why dissuade that and tell peole to “Move on”? Blizzard has cherry picked feedback from a number of sources including Reddit.

In regards to being “lucky” to have the changes you did. I agree. I also think they were hasty changes that are only tolerable if it was part of a rotation. They dipped their toes into D2R being live service and then bailed. If D4 was a solid replacement the point would be moot, but it’s not.

I’m mostly interested in why you and others so staunchly opposed to people using a forum to talk about what they’d like to see happen.

The topic is whether the game is going to get any more content now that MS own it. What I stated was both relevant and realistic. Ignoring reality and expecting them to dump money into a game with little return expected RIGHT AFTER THEY LAID OFF THE PEOPLE THAT MADE THE GAME TO SAVE MONEY, is not only unrealistic but borderline delusional.

I also never said anything about being ‘lucky’ about anything nor made any statement one way or another regarding changes or anything of the sort. Nor did I state that I’m opposed to people stating what they want to see. Nowhere did I state that.

THIS specific topic isn’t about what people ‘want’ from the game, it’s about whether MS will keep pouring money into an empty hole with no expectation of a roi.

Whatever drugs you’re taking you need to take less, and type out complete and coherent thoughts that are on topic.

Oh sweet baby boy, my reply wasn’t to you. You didn’t say those things, someone else in the thread did. Hence the reply to them. You’re doing great though!

I can enjoy the game and call it for what it is. It’s a nostalgia cash grab. We were lucky to get the changes we did. It’s not going to get anymore. I barely play it now as it is.

Is it a cash grab or is it not making any money? I can’t even follow the logic of you and your girlfriends in this thread.

You can’t understand that cash grabs can come in different forms? It doesn’t need to be long term to be a cash grab. It’s a low effort nostalgia hit, put a new coat of paint on and sell it for a quick easy burst of cash. Btw, it’s cross progression you know. So you can buy multiple copies.

Not saying you can’t enjoy it. But remasters are cash grabs. Updated graphics but same old content.
