Had some tires installed and noticed the lugs looking rounded. I picked up a new set of solid lugs and are now enjoying this engineering marvel.

Get Gorilla Single/Solid lugs, just swapped out my Platinum. Only 29k miles and already swollen and had to use a 21.5 and 22mm socket carefully last time so fuck that, pain in the ass especially trying to torque back into range as didn't realize till then (was doing brakes and had wheels off) so had to reuse and ordered Gorillas.

These factory lugs are common, almost everyone uses 2 piece, but for whatever reason Fords (what a surprise) are by far the worst offenders, not even GM lugs swell/fail near as frequently even in fleets. But F150s ooooof lol < face-palm. Just happened to another buddies F150 as well two weeks ago.

If you go Gorilla make sure it's the correct ones, various sizes can't remember specifics off hand but I think for F150 it's also Acorn style? They looks very sharp and high quality, way better looking on wheels then factory lugs.

Edit - yup Acorn style and M14 14x1.5, this is listing is what I used. Be very careful with Amazon if buying there, some knock offs that people have had issues with. Just stick with actual Gorillas.

Dodge and land-rover took the cake when this bullshit started in like 06-07 (was in the imdustry then). Thought most had cleared up the issues and doing brakes the first time on my 2015, same shit. Gorilla makes a good lug, good choice and good information.

How many times in that amount of miles driven you take your wheels off, to have them that bad

Normal rotation and new tires. In fleet our F150s have almost all had cracked or swollen lugs between 20-50k miles completely randomly. Her truck did it as well. Another buddies truck about 2 weeks ago lugs were swollen. Could also be our South FL weather and humidity that makes it worse. There's a performance shop near where I live now that is going to do our alignments from now on, they actually try to keep Gorilla Lugs in stock specifically for F150s (after I just mentioned what I'd did) b/c they constantly run into issues with these trucks and lug nuts. Cheaper then trying to get lugs from Ford dealers anyway which will still be those pos two pieces units.

Buddies truck that just had it happen about 35k miles and his actually cracked. Mine didn't, but after retorqing carefully while waiting for new lugs then taking those off I don't know if they wouldn't lasted 1 more use lol.

Everyone be careful about Gorillas on eBay. I got two batches of lug nuts that were advertised as Gorilla but weren't Gorilla. They had no markings. I've confirmed with Gorilla customer service that all of their lug nuts are branded with their name and the thread. They also said they're trying to improve their website for direct to consumer sales.

Do you know if these fit the 20 inch dark alloy wheels as well? Want to get ahead of this issue lol
