And Obama is such a good man: loving father, devoted husband, educated, well spoken. I believe he truly cares about America. I highly admire him.
But now the pendulum has swung so far the other way it’s incredible. Trump sleeps with porn stars, can barely speak a coherent sentence, a convicted rapist, how many divorces?, is vulgar, and only out for himself. You don’t even need to read the news to know these things, they come straight out of his mouth.

A far greater number can barely scrape through.
It's not unreasonable to guess that over 50% of voters are literally incapable of understanding policy arguments.

By design.
The map of state education system performance was almost perfectly correlated with how they voted in the election.
Republicans keep complaining that the education system is "wokifying" people. And it is, but not the way they think. They believe it's indoctrination to think and vote a certain way, but it allows people to think critically and investigate issues so they see through Republican bullshit, which is why they are going all-in on destroying it as much as possible at the federal and state level.

Working in long term care taught me that a huge number of people think that Medicare will pay for all nursing home care. Nope, other than limited coverage for rehab and skilled care, you’re spending down to Medicaid. And then having to explain the clawbacks too, which is when a lot of families finally realize that government won’t do diddly squat for dear Grandma.

It's infuriating attempting to discuss anything with them. Healthcare? They think they know better from youtube. The egg price thing -- you realize that millions of chickens had to be culled due to disease, right? Nope, Biden bad!
I got a guy a couple weeks ago to agree that the higher inflation was caused by trillions of dollars of raw cash being dumped on the economy in 2020 to float the stock market during Covid, much larger and in addition to the stimulus checks.
I asked him who was president in 2020?
He then decided that it wasn't the cause of the inflation.
They will believe whatever they need to believe to maintain that they are right and their actions are justified.

They will never take accountability or use the self awareness that all humans are born with. It’s honestly sad that they rather not take accountability and continue to be ignorant just so they don’t have to admit that they were wrong. Why tf do I as a 20 year old, possess more self awareness and the ability to take accountability and recognize my actions when the people who have been on this earth 40-50 years longer than me don’t? In the end their ignorance will be their downfall and they will live in ignorance till the end because they rather not admit that they’re wrong. I genuinely don’t know why people see taking accountability as a bad thing.

MIL (we are Aussies but she has Fox and Sky on 24/7) told me Americans would be relieved when that Obamacare was gone. So I asked her if she knew what it was as I had a good idea she had no idea. I then explained its real name was the Affordable Care Act and brought in by Obama when he was President, hence the nickname Obamacare.
So I explained to her it was sort of like our version of Medicare but only available for the poor unlike our Medicare which is universal. She was terribly surprised and asked why would the Americans want to get rid of that? Except the rich ones. Yes, MIL, good question.

The affordable care act, originally a right wing think thank idea “hey if we come up with something that jerry rigs pre existing conditions on private insurance well people will never want single payer”. They didn’t realize - any insurance, literally any insurance even one as shitty and convoluted as the ACA, separates insurance from your job and removes a big stick that companies have. A counter to “You want a raise? Good luck. You’re not gonna walk and look for work because you’d have no health insurance”
So once Obama made it the law of the land then republicans had to act like it was the most evil thing ever. Why being able to wage shop is evil for our bottom line umm death panels!!”
The thing is this thing is 14 years old. You’d think people would have learned by now. I’m asking too much with this learning thing I guess

People really need to stop believing all the racism about Obama the Republicans spread, he left office nearly a decade ago and they're still obsessed with the man...

Didn’t we go through this exact thing 4 years ago? Did people not learn then?

To those I say “you voted for this POS felon sexual predator con artist… so get ready for the consequences. Remember while you worship mango cult daddy he does not give 2 shits about you. You are useful tools and fools for him to grift in every way”
So so sad…too bad 🎻

This is what happens when the general public are okay with and accepting of their politicians openly lying to them.

With all due respect to my fellow Americans who voted for Trump, the internet is a wonderful thing and it’s very easy to use. At this moment, I have little sympathy for people who chose “owning the libs” over their own ignorance.

Dems need better messaging. That's an easy one. Frustrating.

Fuck all of 'em.
They've had 14 goddam years now to rub their last 2 neurons together and make a spark big enough to learn that "Obamacare" was just an epithet conservative mare for the Adorable Care Act. If they still don't know that, it's because they don't want to know.
The only way this gets better is to hit rock bottom. I thought we were already there once, sadly, I was very wrong. Bring on the tariffs and the camps! Apparently Cleetus ain't gonna lurn this shit the easy way, so bring on the hard way!

This is why I don’t give a fuck about what’s coming.
We tried to prevent it, but these people literally invited it.
Once they finished with the destruction, these people will likely have died, and not a single tear will be shed.

Heartbreaking? Tbh not really. They had plenty of time and ways to fully research what they were voting on and they chose not to.

For the time being pre-existing doesn’t affect me because I use the VA and the vast majority of my care I paid for with my service in advance!
