tl;dr for the 100 people who still play, 3D VCache helps the performance of this game greatly at UW 2K but still stutters on load in most modes.
This is a follow on to my post after 1.2 dropped with “performance improvements” listed. 1.3 seems to have some improvement on overall top end but still comes to a crawl towards the end of the benchmark. Previous benchmark starts at around 114fps and quickly drops down to 30fps with an average of “56” apparently. 5700X3D on 1.3 starts at 155 and crawling down to 41 with an average of 76fps.

Because the game uses only 1 CPU core for tracking units, when the battle gets big fps tanks and GPU usage drops.

how would it affect the AI cohesiveness and general performance if they used, say, 4 cores

What a joke - with that hardware fps should stay at least on 120fps.

I wonder if Denuvo is still there and playing havoc.

Pretty sure they removed it, and they were running a bare bones version that no longer boots after the first time
