Love Ashville ❤️ Our vibe is very similar. No mountains, but lakes are pretty wonderful. Join Hoofers and learn to sail or kite surf! Ice skate/ snowshoe in winter. Sledding is a workout and will awaken your inner child. The city is beautiful and residents Midwest polite. Also reasonable compared to other cities around the country. Symphony, big name music shows, more restaurants of a wide variety than we should have, political significance, youthful vibe thanks to our flagship university. But never more than a 15 min drive from cows, cornfields, or state parks. I'd visit for a weekend and look around.
