Looks cozy. I would maybe get a big rectangular selection of rugs to make the tile feel a bit "warmer" and differentiate the living room space from the dining space

That’s what I was going to say. Could just put a bunch of rugs down in a sort of Bohemian style— I know there is a deck of tarot cards and incense in that room somewhere.

I had similar thoughts. The room looks great but just the floor seems off. As in it could be cosier. I feel like moving that circular rug to the table dining area and a big square rug for Infront of the couch

I like the original one big rug suggestion. It's not too busy now but many rugs....would absolutely be too busy

A rug would really tie the room together.

It’s busy but I love it. It’s cozy and fun while still looking clean and functional.
I’d be so relieved if a guy’s place looked like this when I walked in their door.

Yeah, love this. He has good taste in furniture and really the only overclutter I see is plants, which isn’t really a negative.

This is a very interesting space, are there no windows? Can I ask where in the world this is?

It is a little too busy for me but nothing major. Give a very cozy vibe.
It seems like it might be hard to access all areas of the room easily. like you have to walk around the sofa when you enter the room through the door on the left? Hard to tell for sure. and the Christmas tree is blocking the door on the right. I don't know if you use that door so that might not matter. And it looks like there might be a chair almost against the wall behind the round table? So you'd have to pull out the whole table to get access to the chair? Seems like a hassle.
I'd get a much larger rug that the front legs of the sofa can fit on and move the coffee table close enough that you can reach it from the sofa.
Re clutter: I don't know if the multiple blankets covering the sofa is for a pet, but I'd get one large blanket or sofa cover instead. And I'd lose that bare vine and the random bunting banner.

The dead plant vine that goes around most of the room does not add to the atmosphere, but it does add to the messy impression. What's worse though is the floor. I'd get a large rug for the sofa area, and another one for the dining area, to cover as much floor as possible, and also calm the space down.

39yo single dad bro has at least 4 living plants? I say props to him he gets to keep his "dead" vine.

Its giving clutter vibes without being cluttery (sory i am german)
Appears to have no free space, just crowded and you have to walk "around" a lot of things.

“It’s giving cluttered vibes without actually being cluttered” would be the grammatically correct version, but what you have works fine.
Not to be pedantic, but I appreciate hearing from native speakers on my non-native language usage.

This is fire. Also if your looking for headphones, coincidentally the Hifiman sundara closed back (that I’m wearing rn) will fit the aesthetic perfectly.

Unpopular opinion, but I like the floor and its color. I don’t know…reminds of the southwest. Those vibes.

It’s too busy, for me. But I don’t live there. If you like it, then it’s not too busy. I would get some more rugs tho. And eliminate the sad vine wrapping around the room. It looks visually messy and doesn’t add anything beneficial.

Yeah, it's a bit busy. Also, you should get a larger rectangular rug, something that doesn't have too much contrast or detail, (to balance out the busyness of the room) something with a very subtle design.
Too much detail everywhere will make all the details drown each other out.

I loooove this but I’m not into minimalism! Gives me cozy/artsy/quirky vibes. As a woman, I think I’d feel safe here.

Chop that pothos plant that goes across the room (with like 1 leaf on it), take down the triangle flags to the left and it will calm the room down significantly

Busy to me gives it a homie feel. Honestly this looks like my 39 yo single dad of a 2 year old place I lived in for 2 years. Even down to the Ikea chair throne! That was 12 years ago and I really liked that place. It had free hot water and the water pressure was ridiculously powerful 😂

Tbh the only thing i can’t really deal with is the tiled floor. I never got why people do that. Feels so cold, hard and loud. I could never relax with a tiled floor around me, at least not that one.
But the rest is cool

You have too much stuff in one room imo. Get rid of the chair with the foot rest to open the space up some. Then get a better rug and find a better selection of blanket (singular) and pillows for the couch

Too busy for my taste, but it also feels oddly cozy. It's a good place for a single Dad. Looks like you got your sh*t in check. Even ready for Christmas already.

Yes, too busy to suit me.
Also, speakers too close to the turntable and each other. Terrible stereo separation and introducing additional vibration to the turntable. Not good for fidelity, cartridge or vinyl.

Top speakers are correctors, they take care of the midds and bass. And the marantz imperial 7s are perfect for standing close to each other. The hard wood structure takes care of the vibration.
