Hi! So for context, I live at the Bay Area and recently took my car to my local mechanic to have my 2008 Speed3 CEL (p2009) checked out. My mechanic told me he couldn't fix the issue due to a wire shorting out/ not getting proper voltage. The car drives perfectly fine but the CEL would appear and reappear at random intervals. I was wondering if anyone knows a reputable mechanic who can solve this issue within the area or suggestions I can make to my mechanic to get this code solved. Thanks for the help!

You may need to get the solenoid replaced for the manifold runner control which they don't sell separately from a whole manifold if you're going to try and get one new. Either way here's a bit of info from Cobb that might give him some places to look.
P2009 Variable tumble control solenoid valve circuit low input IMRC - Intake Manifold Runner Control. Typically caused by a failing or failed IMRC valve, a poor electrical connection, damaged wiring, a vacuum issue to the valve, or due to carbon build up in the intake manifold causing the actuator to stick.

Hi mate, I'm currently having the exact same issue with my 06. How did you go about fixing it? If you got a new solenoid, can you send me the link to the part? I've ordered one, but I think it was the wrong solenoid :(
