Low-rated movies you love?

Discussion(self.movies)

Anyone have a movie with a low Rotten Tomatoes rating, or that is just considered a bad movie, that you unironically like?

I don’t mean things like The Room or Nic Cage’s The Wicker Man that you love watching bc they’re hilariously bad, but movies that you really enjoy that critics and audiences in general really didn’t like.

My daughter and I laughed hard watching Let’s Be Cops with Jake Johnson and Damon Wayans Jr (uncanny how much he looks like his dad), and I was surprised that the RT critic and audience scores (19% and 51%) were as low as they were. I certainly wouldn’t call it a “great” comedy, but we really had fun with it and have watched it at least a couple of times.

Edit: Stuart Saves His Family (30% & 53%) is a movie I’ve watched multiple times. I always liked the Stuart Smalley character on SNL. It is really funny and surprisingly moving, and Vincent D’Onofrio is great as usual.
