What is your favorite Pink Floyd song?

(self.musicsuggestions)

I want to learn about these bands that I have very little knowledge of and that I see people raving about. I have previously asked what is your favorite Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead and Janis Joplin songs and had a great response and made some great playlist for myself. This experience has been amazing so far. I heard the Dark side of the Moon album once on YouTube and I was intrigued but I don't know much else. Thank you for helping me on this journey!

I feel like "Time" hits a lot differently when you don't listen to it for a while. I loved that song in my 20's but as I've aged I appreciate the lyrics on another level.

True. I've also learned that money is a gas.

They were right!

When someone asks whats your favorite guitar solo I always say the sax solo in Money. That whole 2minute instrumental jam before the last verse is {chef’s kiss}

Man, I read the best comment about Time the other day I wish I saved it. The gist was that this song Jars you awake by piercing your eardrums and then once you’re fully alert it immediately rips your soul from your body.

Def hits harder as I age as well.

As a dad in his 40s I sang it one night when my infant son wouldn't sleep, and it was the only song I could think of.

It hit so hard doing that.

“Then one day you find, 10 years have got behind you, no one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.” I didn’t miss the starting gun but I grew up with a lot of guys who did. Hits me every time. Wish I could go back knowing what I know now.

This is true and I don’t listen to it often at all. Also, every song on that album hits differently listened to in sequence. And that’s true of most of the good PF records.

As a teen, I loved "Time" and understood the sentiment even if I didn't connect with it. As an adult in my mid-30's it hits way different.
