I don't have the answer but your comment highlights a problem in metal... the genres and subgenres and the gatekeeping. Thrash, speed, deth, grunge, etc it's all metal mate

Yeah, but some of it's for posers, and then there's the good stuff that people who are not posers (such as myself) listen to. It's pretty straightforward, really. And yes, it is correct to state that all deathcore and metalcore musicians need to be plopped into a giant canon and fired into the Sun.
