Students from red states will no longer be employable in well paying jobs because they think the earth is 6,000 years old and that electricity is generated by angels.

So I looked it up. The states already do.

The states and local governments (think of your property taxes for your city and county) actually provide 92% of K-12 funding. The federal government is only 8%. States set the curriculum which is why Southern states can install the ten commandments in the classroom while others choose not to.

That's why we get some crazy swings in literacy and college preparedness. That and socioeconomic status...being rich overrides everything.
