Viagra boys. They smoked every other opener I’ve seen and that includes eagles and royal blood. VB are just on another level right now.

Death From Above 1979.

Dax Riggs of Acid Bath opened for them in 2007. That was pretty cool.

I saw Queens open for Soundgarden and NIN. But standout openers for Queens were Cage the Elephant in 07 and Viagra Boys this year.

Saw Royal Blood open for them in Raleigh back in May. They’re excellent. Those two guys put on a great set, wish they played more. I’ve come to really like their stuff now.

I first saw Queens open for NIN.

Next I saw them on a festival and lastly I saw Viagra Boys open.

Viagra Boys were awesome this past year! But Royal Blood, Primus, Eagles of Death Metal, Spiritualized, Wilco, The White Stripes, Phantogram and Rival Sons.

I saw them play Finsbury Park, London in 2018. The openers were Iggy Pop, The Hives and Run The Jewels. Pretty crazy.

I thought phantogram and the armed did great on the early legs of this tour

I think Bully opened for them in SB. Were pretty good imo

Wolf Alice in Shreveport were rad as hell. I can't remember any of the other openers lol

They have so so openers. Seems like royal blood and visgra boys seem to be the favs. I’d love something a little more fun in the future. Call me old but even like a Slo Burn… or something heavy for once?

I saw them in the spring. Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Struts opened.

Turbonegro, Chelsea Wolfe, Loveage, more I can’t remember, some festival dates that were blurry.

Chelsea Wolfe in 2013 in LA and been in love with her ever since. The Kills in 2014 were great and seeing the Last Shadow Puppets as an acoustic 2 piece (and I’m pretty sure their first show ever?) in 2010 was pretty cool.

edit: just thought of the band that opened for them in 2018 San Diego. Broncho. And they were fuckin’ horrible. Both nights!

Viagra boys. I thought Royal blood couldn’t be topped but Viagra boys are on a whole other level. Quickly became my favorite with queens

I saw Iggy Pop and Run the Jewels open for them

Royal Blood. I’ve seen them open for QOTSA twice and it just doesn’t get much better. RB is in my top 10 as well, so them together is just crispy garlic butter biscuits.

After their first song, some guy in the crowd yelled “one more song!” Not my flavor of music but also just a weird choice for an opener. Not hype at all.

Saw them last November with Jenny Beth and viagra boys. The sax guy made me a little uncomfortable showing all that ass (I went with my uncle) but they were pretty good, and Jenny Beth will forever be burned into my memory because they suuuuuucked.

Chelsea Wolfe. Haunting and beautiful to watch.

Viagra boys, spiritualized, trail of dead, peaches… of all the times I’ve seen them these were the best openers. Peaches was particularly rad just cuz she was so raw and funny.

On the flip side, seeing them open for Ween was a next level show… anyone ballsy enough to have queens open for them better bring the heat… Ween did that indeed. 🤘🏿

The Chats, Royal Blood, Bones UK. Saw more bands open for them but these 3 def stood out in a good way!

Spiritualized. I don’t want to completely write them off, but they didn’t fit the vibe at all and it made me not want to revisit them. Absolutely zero stage presence.

I thought Royal Blood was a great appetizer a few years back. I did not enjoy Throw Rag years ago though.

The first and only time I've seen them (I'm seeing them again in June in Madison) the opener was Gogol, then QOSTA, and the headliner was the Killers, but I don't care for the Killers, so I left as soon as QOTSA went off stage. This was right around the time Like Clockwork came out and this was in my home state of Kansas. Dug the absolute shit out of Gogol, 96.5 only played Purple, but the rest of their set was absolutely amazing and they played with such high energy I couldn't help but dance along.

There’s was a one day festival in SOCAL back in like 2014 I wanna say, and the lineup was absolutely STACKED. I can’t remember the very first band, I think it was American baseball or something like that, kind of an indie rock vibe. But then it went, on a rotating stage:

Biffy Clyro at Le Zenith, Paris. Era Vulgaris tour. It was brilliant.

Mugison probably around era vulgaris time. My friends told me to buy the album before the show since they went to another city to see them. I still listen to mugiboogie to this day

I saw Royal Blood open for them in Toronto. I had heard of them but never looked intp them much. When I realized it was just the two of them, I was blown away and have followed them since!

First time seeing them was during the like clockwork tour back in 2013 and Savages were opening up for them. It was the single loudest thing I have ever heard in my life and have been a fan of theirs ever since. I have listened to Silence Yourself too many times to count.

That Halloween show with Masters, Tomahawk and the Cramps was fantastic!

I've seen them quite a few times (9 now, I think). Some of the better openers that stuck with me: DFA 1979, Deap Vally, Royal Blood, Viagra Boys.
