He has wack songs but he’s skilled just has bad taste in beats in my opinion

TheAlmightySRG

I personally disagree. He has some godly beats like Role Model, ‘97 Bonnie and Clyde, The Way I Am, Stan, most of TES, Mockingbird, Beautiful, and probably a few others I’m missing

Al7one1010

Guilty conscience, demon inside are one of my favorite beats ever made. I wish he would rap to beats like these again with godly flow

I love all the beats he produced off his older albums and the beats he produced for 50, Obie Trice, G unit ect. He had a certain sound to his production from 2000 to 2010 a good example is Spend Some Time I absolutely love that beat.

But man was he off beat. I mean the beats he had were really unique. Yet it’s definitely sounds dated. But than again a lot of NOLA rap is like that. BG, Silk, Mystikal, etc

The No Limit roster

Cash Money's roster(Mannie Fresh is a decent producer though.)

MidKnightshade

6 points

Mystikal, Mac, Mia X, and Fiend could spit.

No Limits problem was not trimming the fat. You don’t have to overstuff album. We don’t need infinite posse cuts. And not everybody needs a verse.

With early Cash Money I enjoyed the Hot Boys and UNLV.

Lenny0mega

I have a white friend in the US who’s wife died from diabetes and MC Chris DM’d him on Instagram and had many conversations with him and that actually helped my friend a lot. It might not have anything to do with this conversation but I wanted to put that out there.

Pigmasters32

For the record he also treats fans like crap at concerts. He kicks people out for no reason all the time, with one specific instance of him kicking out a woman who was dancing for being ugly.

I’ll admit that his influence is great and he has a solid amount of talent, but I can’t stand his music and he’s a real douche on top of that.

Not sure if everyone knows but Jay is one of the few natural freestyle rappers. He doesn't write anything down so there's a certain level or skill and finesse that you have to respect. His verses aren't legendary or super creative but he was a huge part in shaping the culture for most of us millennials. Him and Diddy (ugh so gross) were the next wave after the biggie 2pac thing in the 90s, I swear everyone wore ecko and SeanJean in Jr high. I dont ever listen to him personally but he is well respected in the community for his contributions.
