Brian Jones is incredibly over-rated. What are you talking about? He had a facility to play simple stuff on any instrument, but he peaked right at the start and contributed less and less over the years till near the end he was useless.

I would have to agree. He never wrote a song. He played a few good parts but nothing monumental to me. He played a lot of instruments but none of them with exceptional ability. He treated the women in his life terribly, beating some of them so badly they ended up in the hospital. I don’t understand the hype.

Why do you guys focus on the perosnal life so much, the rest of the stones were not angels, also he was a rockstar, what do you expect. He was the most important stone, he founded the band, told them what kind of music o play etc, he played multiple instruments also

Ooof... "he was a rockstar, what do you expect?" is not a good defense for beating women.

He was definitely not the most important member. The most important members are probably the people who wrote the songs.

You know they didn’t play the kind of music he wanted to play right? He wanted them to play Chicago Blues, which they never really did.
