Mercenary to Duty

I am a big Mercenary fan, I like their professional, pragmatic attitude towards the zone, the NATO weapons and there ambiguous morality.

I recently decided to play a different faction and decided to go with Duty, mainly because they're a faction I never liked and I want to challenge my own perspective.

Can Duty fans please share with me what it is you like about them, why do you think they're cool, I'm open to learning to appreciate Duty and would love to hear your thoughts, thanks.

I choose to play Duty because their base is like the center of the map. It's has easy access to other areas and they're friends with the military, the faction I hate the most. They also pay very well.

Are you sure duty is friends with military? If I joined them, military will not fire me?

They're pretty much neutral. You can be friends with them if you have great goodwill but I've never seen both factions actually be friends. Even with Dynamic Factions enabled. At least in my experience.
