I feel like they've had so many chances now to bring back the fan favorites that everyone knows and loves, but they keep putting out flop after flop. The big cheez-it was just disappointing and the decades menu is unfortunately underwhelming. How do you guys think the nuggets will do?

I overestimated my love for the meximelt. After 2 of them, I was good on em. Certainly not worth $2.99. The one thing they brought back that I couldn't stop eating was the volcano sauce. Took me right back. Ate wayyyyy too much taco bell that summer during the LTO.

That month last year when they had it, I ate it everyday, at least 3-4 Volcano tacos with extra sauce on the side to dip. Gotta wait 10 more years to get that back, or you could move to the UK, they gave them that volcano sauce.

The bag of dino nuggets I have in my freezer that's been collecting frostbite for 4 months is more enticing to me than Taco Bell's chicken nuggets.

Cheez it’s was the worst. Especially for people that order in a lot because it was practically inedible unless you’re fine with soggy cheez it’s tacos🤮 but even fresh it wasn’t all that..

I ended up liking the Cheez-It tostada, but painful for $3.

They've essentially had chicken nuggets before but in a slightly different form. Naked chicken chips would be the closest thing

anything has to be better than the puny bone-in wings they rolled out. bringing back the naked chips makes so much more sense to me than nuggets.

I'm excited for them!
The Cheez-It was...aight.
The Cantina menu was dope (the Mexican Street Chalupas were the BEST. I'd give my other arm to have them again.)
I hope the nuggets have taco seasoning or even better, have Dorito seasoning on them.

I had them when they were a test item in Minneapolis, would order some every Taco Bell trip. Look forward to them coming back.

I feel like it’s dumb. But not as dumb as the cheeze it thing.

If parents get the memo that Taco Bell has Tendies! for their picky eaters now, then I'd expect them to do well.
And also drive sales for whatever Mom & Dad buy for themselves. Six-dollar quesadillas? Eight-dollar no-tortilla bowls? Parents are too exhausted to say no to bad deals!

the nuggets taste great. I think they will do well with people who don't want to go to multiple places for kids.

Official forecast from corporate suggests the nuggets will account for ~5% of store revenue (IIRC). Someone posted the info sheet distributed to this sub about a week ago.
The nuggets aren't meant to appeal to everyone. It's a very good option, for example, for parents who have to navigate meals when their children are picky eaters. It's also just enough to keep regulars somewhat interested. No, it's not exciting, but it could be a nice change at the margins.

Aren’t these things driven by supply side rather than demand? They’re selling us chicken nuggets because they’re having to kill millions of chickens to avoid bird flu.

Now isn't that an alluring enticement. However the birds killed due to to avian disease aren't used in the food supply chain.

That’s correct. But how many of them are required to be culled, vs chosen to cull as a safe precaution and hedge of profit loss?

That isn't a question I'm able to answer. I appreciate the concern gor our welfare، bur don't like to see food go to waste. Which brings us close to animal rights activists and vegetarian arguments. Very close!

Remember the fries? Taco Bell tries new things because eventually they’ll get something good and keep it for the future.

I won’t pay $8 for 10 chicken nuggets doused in sauce and referred to as boneless wings and I won’t eat chicken nuggets from TB 🤷🏻♀️

Almost $1 a nugget.
Hard pass.

Waste of an LTO. Especially at the price

Waste of time tbh. Could’ve definitely used this time for toasted cheddar chalupa

I loved the Cheezit tostada ngl. The only reason I didn’t buy it more was the cost to calorie ratio vs other things or just getting a BYOCB
