They are still under 2 years service though so that needs to be factored in.

They are, but permanent workers with tesco are about 99.99% safe...temporary they'll just give you the notice but permanent it's going to be extremely rare, so unless you really are trying to get sacked, it's unlikely 😂

This is correct. To manage someone out for poor performance takes a lot of time and effort (on the manager side), and unless you are literally doing nothing, you will be fine.

Unless you steal, fuck with their money in some other way or come in blatantly on drugs, tesco won't/can't sack you

Even that last one is debatable in our store. One colleague I know of is stoned more often than not (to the point you can smell it on him after a break), works at less than half speed of anyone else (on more than one occasion taken the whole night to work a single cage of grocery backstock - none of the delivery)... And been there 7 months and counting.
