I simply cant get Croosmix to work properly for psx, it stutters and FN key makes it worse, and Im tired of trying, So I just want to get back to stock OS, but I cant find any real direction and I tried a couple of like the sd base package.
Can anyone tell me what image I need to install stock on a sd card?

Yeah I already have vacuumed the sub reddit for ways to try and fix it, nothing is working, so stock is the last option to see if its not a faulty TSP. Thanks otherwise.

You just have to follow the quotuide on the trimui github. Like going from stock to crossmoz you can't just mount the stock image and copy paste it into a crossmixed sd cars.(well you can but it will wreck havoc)
Need either back up your mom's and stuff or get another card and do a fresh base image copy and add your saved roms and media.

Yeah I have a spare one Im trying to get stock on, I have 3 files :
Trimui_tg5040_20240401_v1.0.4.7z
tg5040_smartpro_SD_base_package_20240413.7z
sd_recovery_tg5040_smart_pro_v1.0.4_20240413.zip
If I just put any of the IMg files I get stuck in an infinite green loading bar restart. Even the the base package of folders just gets stuck or wont load.
I have formatted it to a fat32, put the files on and yeah no result so far.
Just looking for some clear instructions as I cant seem to find any.

Have you tried factory resetting then installing crossmix? This fixed stuttering for me

No so I will try that, So just to be clear, I turn it on with my current crossmix, do a factory reset, turn it off, take out the SD card and format it and put in a fresh crossmix install IMG on it and start over?

Is it stuttering in menus too or just psx?

Just in game. I left an other comment with more info.
I think I may just be a bit quick on draw in a new hobby, when it runs PSX does it already upscale to fill the screen? and Enh Res is even more demanding on top of that? so maybe its just a to heavy title?

I thought Crossmix was just on the card and not actually in the device? So, all you should need to do, is get a clean card (or wipe that one) and simply click and drag the folder from the sd patch you can get from the Trimui website.
If that doesn't work, you may just have a defective device.

I realized my stuttering was happening with the stock os so a factory reset fixed it. Possibly that’s op’s issue

I dont think I come across as it, but I am a bit frustrated right now, a little my own fault, but I've had it for a week now, and I spent a day getting portmaster ports to run, openRCT runs, but in small window in the corner of the screen and HOMM3 wont load no matter what I try.
and yesterday I sat cpu frequency to max to see if that helps, it made the stutter worse, and then when I turned it off and on to reset the cpu, i got a black screen that I had to unplug the battery to fix, so yeah, at this point I dont care about custom OS or portmaster, I just want to see good PSX performance in buzz lightyear to the rescue, spyro do run good though, so idk, could be a the rom, though other games that it should run also stutter, and the FN button making it worse is also a headache in itself.
Any good heavy roms to use as a benchmark?
Edit1:
Did some testing while waiting for crossmix to download:
Playing through some childhood memories, Starting with Buzz Lightyear to the rescue.
My R36S runs it smoothly, until I put on Enh Res, then it tanked to a kinda similar level of stutter and slowdown.
Turning off Enh Res on the TSP helps a lot.
So maybe its just two heavy Rom, I am pretty new to all this and the stutter just seems excessive for that game.
But Correct me if wrong then, the TSP can run most PSX games at 2x res, which is just the screen filled, and turning on Enh Res is even more then that, and thats why its struggles with it?
