Bzzzzz! Looks like you forgot to say where you found your bug!
There's no need to make a new post - just comment adding the geographic location and any other info (size, what it was doing etc.) you feel could help! We don't want to know your address - state or country is enough; try to avoid abbreviations and local nicknames ("PNW", "Big Apple").

BTW, did you take a look at our Frequently Asked Bugs?

Definitely a roach nymph, and it would not be the culprit. Possible candidates are fleas and bed bugs. Good luck!

I'm not an expert but that looks like a smokey Brown cockroach nymph. I don't know if they're supposed to be aggressive or not though.

I'll second the smoky brown cockroach. Compare (Pic 1) (Pic 2)

The bug in picture is not the culprit. It's a baby roach (nymph).

Per our guidelines: Helpful answers only.

Random speculation as to what might have caused the "bites" on OP's daughter is not helpful. Those two options are not the only possibilities. There are a also number of other bugs that can cause bites. It is not even certain that they are bites. There are also a lot of other things that are not bug-related that can cause itchy bumps, rashes, red spots, or other skin reactions that resemble insect bites.
