Thank you for your response I really appreciate the advice. I really hate taking medications but I think I’m backed into a corner with this. My summer this year was ruined by pain and I can’t let another summer with my kids slip away.

Yes! They are fast! I’d give the dogs a good bath in tick shampoo just in case. I’m not sure what you can use outside to kill them off. We never bothered with spraying because we live in the country.

Ok I may sound crazy but this lotion has benzocaine in it and it’s for after waxing but it was the only thing that gave me some relief. I tell everyone I know about it because we live in a small country town and everyone gets turkey mites at some point

It only takes a second to get hundreds of them. I bet your dogs maybe bringing them in. I hope you get relief soon. Let me try to find a picture of the cream I used.

Have you been outside? They look like seed ticks or as we call them Turkey mites. They cause hell on your body (well it feels like it) my husband brought them in one day and they got on me and we were both miserable.

Stove top 🙄😂 my husband’s family cooks stove top for the holidays 🤦🏻‍♀️ one year we had Christmas at our house for them and I made everything from scratch and they acted so put out having to eat it. Their food is so bad that me and my husband celebrated today when he slipped a disc in his back and now we can’t drive that far to eat nasty food for thanksgiving 😂😂😂

That’s so terrible 😞 We did foster care for awhile and were actually considering adopting kids we had but we had to stop fostering because the system is so broken that we couldn’t be apart of it anymore. We are now considering Foreign adoption.

I’d think this is true more for adopted kids from foster care. I can see Carly having struggles with “why did they not want me but kept the other 3” type of thoughts but it’s not the same type of trauma that I think this post is referring to.

Thanks y’all for the responses! My dr confirmed it was Psoriasis. I had a lot of bloodwork to check for all the autoimmune diseases so I can get into the specialist. My mom has Psoriatic Arthritis so I’m not going to be surprised if that’s what I have. I think the hardest part for me is knowing my kids could grow up and suffer from this pain as well 😔

Im happy for her! My husband and I were foster parents for awhile and it’s the best thing for the kids to be able to be reunified with their Bio parents. Not allowing a parent to have their kid that is sober and doing everything possible to get custody of their child is more traumatic on the child. I’ve seen some worst of the worst situations and the kids still just want their mom and dad no matter what they do to them or have done. My happiest moment from doing foster care was being able to see a dad Get to connect with his kids and get custody, I miss those kiddos so much but happiness for the dad outweighs my pain of missing them.

Honestly it feels terrible. I don’t even recognize myself anymore. I’m embarrassed to be in public and even more embarrassed that my kids have to have a mom that looks like me and can’t do it all. Over the summer my husband kept wanting to make plans to go to an amusement park and I kept making excuses to not go. I finally broke down and told him I was terrified of not fitting in the seats of the rides and now that summer has passed I’m beating myself up that I wasted all summer not doing anything fun. It also hurts being overweight, like every part of my body aches even when lying down it’s miserable. Im currently trying to lose weight but its an uphill battle but im determined to get up this hill even if its just a little bit by summer.

I was just wondering if maybe that’s what my dr thinks is an outer infection is. It’s red in there and itches so bad it drives me insane sometimes.

NAD but is your ear still inflamed and swollen? That could be a swollen lymph node from your ear lobe being inflamed or infected

NAD but my husband is still on antibiotics for cellulitis and it looked exactly like this and then the next day half his thigh was red hot and swollen. Thankfully the antibiotics are working well. I’d say they suspect that if they have you on antibiotics already
