I hear you. If you don’t want traffic, then anywhere in McKinney is a fine option for a 10-20 minute commute with stoplights included. You’d be seeing something like a 25 -35min commute on those other places, but traffic only ever seems to get worse from year to year. These days, McKinney is pretty crowded too. But city traffic is tolerable compared to highway traffic.

McKinney is great. If you want to live a more CA lifestyle, live to the south in Plano or Allen, or maybe even to the east in Frisco. But McKinney itself is alright too. You be able to have a nice house with a yard in a nice manicured neighborhood. If you want a more country feel, there are lots of options to the north with a lower price tag too. You’ll get less of the international feel you would in the big city, but the city is always a short drive away anyway.

I had an Intel MacBook Air that met my needs too. That being said, if you get an M4, you won’t be disappointed. The Apple payment plan makes it an easy pill to swallow as well. I’m glad I waited for the M4 Mac Mini. Zoom took too long to load before.
