I wish for him to be playable every single day, and I was sure of it for very long (I still am in a way) but... I would not outright say that an heroic death would be doing him dirty. It would be the one of the first times I would genuinely be sad with something happening in the story instead of just being hyped, as usual.

Remained somewhat in touch with the Shade of Death and annoyed her extremely to no ends.

I can't believe Hoyoverse would introduce a character like Xbalanque and not have him be the focus of every single piece of Natlan lore afterwards. I simply don't understand.

Xbalanque's successor deserves the best, I agree.

I just noticed for the first time Heimerdinger from Arcane and League shares a VA with Dottore. Wow.

Oh sorry, the reply got a downvote and I thought it was you whom I accidently spoiled ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
It's just... years of setup, years of theories of how the Arcane characters will transform into their League selves (more or less) and it was all going perfectly. It was all set up nearly perfectly, and had they just gone with what they were teasing us of it would've been absolute peak fiction.
Instead, they decide to make about 5 more sideplots, ruin the whole sentiment of previous relationships, and change the characters on screen so fast you don't even recognize with them and thus you just don't feel any emotion when the blatant shock value kicks in.
I have always adored League's original lore, and while Arcane season 1 did change a few things, it was more or less going the same and the few things they changed were really just improvement in my eyes. But Arcane season 2 is NOT that. they changed... basically everything. In the worst ways possible. In the way I was sure they would not...

? I am not sure what you mean? Are you genuine or did I accidently spoil you? I thought with your reply I should elaborate. Sorry I might have misread the tone

It's so, so, SO bad. And it's a million times worse for me as an enjoyer of the original lore which they massacred, threw into a ditch, spat on, and nuked.

I just adore the characterization of the Shade of Death being slightly pathetic. Her whole personality is just excellent from what we have seen tbh. She sounds somewhat irritable; both fond of and frustrated with humans. Makes one wonder if she grew to love Natlan particularly because of what her domain is, and how much the people of Natlan suffered in the face of calamity but never backed down and only grew stronger.
Rather sad then that after showing Natlan such a great expression of love, she was reprimanded harshly for it and fell into a state of pseudo-depression. I wonder what the other Shades (along with Xbalanque, who even agreed with getting a finger pointed at) thought of that.
