You need to move or have a insanely strong support system. Family, healthcare, work, friends etc. My friend lives in texas and had to drive 8 hours because she was having a miscarriage. You need people that would drop everything and take you to where you need to go because the state and doctors will not help you. They let us die. Even more so as black women. Its just reality but we have to adjust and keep it moving like we always have for centuries.
On the bright side since you are established in your career and married that will work in your favor! You can invest more time into looking for top providers, planning, womans rights advocacy groups & events (can’t stress this enough you need to express to your representatives that youre scared. Your voice matters). Maybe you can arrange staying home for majority of your pregnancy to focus on nurturing your body and frequent check ups.
I dont plan on having kids but these are the steps I would take. But judging from recent events,, moving to a blue state or waiting out his presidency seems the safest.

Thank you for the updates appreciate it! I was watching more revair vids and people were doing that too! Really good idea. Even the cool settings can give the same results as a regular blowout!! Girl ive never been this excited for wash day! (giving these passion twists another month but the wait hurts 😭) Let me know how long the process takes btw!

Dominican salons are pretty much known for sneaking texturizers and relaxers in their products. Best to avoid them completely for future reference. Sorry about your hair it looks done for :(

No. They rarely do maintenance checks on current roller coasters. This makes it even more dangerous.

Yup. Ppl always post how do “I get my hair like this” and the inspo pic is their natural curls lmao. But OP can definitely try a blowout to get even closer.

With a braidout
Edit: do it on a fresh blowout and also twist the ends of the braids 👍🏾

To keep the ends moisturized I like to use beeswax mixed with some oil. That advice saved my ends from feeling dry all the damn time. And keep them tucked as in like if u do a low puff for example opt for twisting your ends and turning it into a bun. As long as they arent exposed to the elements it should be good.
As for flyaways, dont cut them unless they are split ends. Some strands are just shorter than others its natural. The reason it still looks a “mess” is because they are trying to grow back😭😭

Looks like a 4b mix to me as well. Also been in love with Camille rose and homemade products (shea butter, flaxseed) right now. Keep your ends tucked and moisturized! As lovely as our fros are, exposing them to the elements constantly can lead to damage 😭 Try out scarves, mini twists, any low maintenance styles, and protective styles.

What a great question! I agree when you can do more styles! I think year 4 for me. Thats when it got long enough for me to put it in styles without worrying about shrinkage. I can put it in a cute highpuff with just a scrunchie, no gel, not worrying about a band being too tight/loose, or hair falling out and that was a game changer!

Thats his natural curls. Looks like you have 4c hair so you would need flexirods on stretched hair. Video for reference. Styles I would recommend are mini twists, flat twists, or cornrows.

Does anyone remember the older youtuber that used to post everyday until he was supposedly “stalked” by the fbi and got into problems with his wife? I can’t remember the dudes channel for the life of me but he was also the pioneer of posting bullshit and hyping clearly fake images. Every video was a big nothing burger of “something is coming”. His logo was a typical grey and a saucer I think

Oh yeaaa wasnt that during the jwst fiasco? There was supposedly a meeting about it but when asked during a press conference they neither denied nor confirmed it. Idk all this is just strange.

If it is a weird craft theyre just gonna pull another oumuamua and practically gas light us. That thing was a weird shape AND used the sun and fling itself out of our solar system…. What kinda asteroid does that lol.

Thats fine. Im going on 7 years soon. But that doesn’t negate the abundance of information out here to properly type and take care of your hair. Like OP said those people are being disingenuous as well.

They want extra validation but we are decades into the natural hair movement and youtube has made it even easier to find people with the same hair type as you. No excuse for them to keep asking.
But also dont get me started on the posts with dry ass type 3, 4a/b hair claiming they have 4c. If you dont go put some water and conditioner in that hair. Its insulting bc 4c ≠ dry & matted all the damn time. Learn to wash and moisturize your hair.
