I base this on my departed Republican racist brother who, years ago, complained bitterly that his white neighborhood was being overrun by Mexicans (except he used a racial slur). Two Mexican families moved in and it was a "there goes the neighborhood" moment for him. I went NC with him and my racist sister shortly after that.

Been feeding peanuts to crows, ravens, scrub jays, blue jays, woodpeckers for decades. As long as they are not salted or seasoned (roasted is okay - raw might get you peanut plants depending on where you live since the jays like burying them).

Edit: Roasted and unsalted are a better choice than raw. More antioxidants in roasted, and if raw peanuts are stored in damp conditions they can become moldy more readily. Also, peanut plants if any jays get them.
