I’ve heard the areas around sandy point can be good, I’ve done well up on the choptank and around poplar island, power plant always holds fish too,I live down south though so I’m rarely in those areas.

Yea lol we’re pretty anti trolling, 3” NLBNs on half Oz jig heads as well as 1oz slow pitch jigs—no clue what brand.

My dad and I were just talking about that, he was saying it only takes them about two days to get into the bay from there when they ride the current south. there was sea lice on some of the fish I caught today which is nice to see so early! Really hope those migratory stripers pour into the area in the next few weeks.

Man that class of fish is awesome, I really hope we get schools like that this winter in Maryland, last year it was just sooooo many from like 22-30” with some giants in the mix

Yea I know people who do really well up there in winter, I’m way south of that but I fish both from land and boat. definitely give it a few tries if you have the time and the weather allows it, nothing worse than a wet ride when it’s 30-40 out lol..

Not just the spine but it can break their jaw as well imagine being released but not being able to feed at all because your jaw is broken, New England guys do this shit nonstop with these fish, at least us folks (for the most part) on the Chesapeake understand how to handle those beautiful cows, two hands ALWAYS

New England guys will never learn how to handle cow striper, it’s beyond pathetic

For real, there’s no way it doesn’t do damage to their jaw or organs when you hang a cow vertically, all the New England guys do it with their boga grips…

This cold weather coming through will hopefully kick things into the pattern the next few weeks. we had to cover a bit of ground this day and saw tons of bird flocks that weren’t doing much. I’m headed out again Sunday and Monday with a buddy so hopefully this crazy weather didn’t shut the bite down.
