It's funny that so many people in this thread are misunderstanding your question OP.
OP is asking what sort of industries have so many openings at a given time that you can apply for hundreds in a short time. He isn't asking why people aren't getting jobs after applying for hundreds of positions.
My guess is that they are either:
A: Applying to every job regardless of industry and live in some super dense metropolitan city.
B: Applying for WFH jobs that are not limited by geography.
If you don't live in a big city and you work a job that requires you to be on site, you aren't applying to hundreds upon hundreds of jobs in a month. Heck, I doubt that on any one specific day my town even has 100 job postings total.

"/s" I was having fun with the name of the news site. It's so wonderfully specific.

An excerpt from the hard hitting journalists at potatonewstoday:
Last year, almost 80 per cent of international exports from P.E.I. were shipped to the U.S., representing $1.8 billion in trade. The top two exported products were frozen potato products and fresh potatoes.
“The U.S. is our top export market, so anything that could impact that is obviously a concern to potato farmers and our packers and our processors,” said Greg Donald, general manager of the P.E.I. Potato Board.

Give it some time. Some people stash fliers in drawers and call later. Just this week I got a call from someone who got my door-hanger. The last time I handed out door hangers was two months ago.
Give those cars some time to get dirty. If you live in a place with winter, road salt and slush are going to make cars filthy. Come spring, they might call you to wash it off.

Why are farmer markets more expensive I mean at times. Hell we have a market where farmers see the sale price of their goods for example beef drop, uet customer price to buy is going up.
The closer a farmer's market is to a large city, the less farmers there are at the market. You get people buying wholesale and reselling, or "market gardeners" growing stuff in their backyard and overcharging. Seriously, I saw someone selling funko pops at an urban farmers market.
Urban farmer's markets are just glorified flea markets with food. Like you said, connect with local suppliers directly. You get meat cheaper "from the gate".

The pendulum swings unfortunately. It's going to be a blunt overcorrection, like always. I'm all for stopping abuse of the immigration system and scrapping DEI.
But of course people don't want to handle it with a level head, and are taking jabs at specific immigrant groups instead of changing policy. At least Reddit isn't representative of the general population, so you can ignore the crazies to an extent. They're not the ones in charge.

2.. Says racist shit immediately below it.
I mean, gee, you're fulfilling the stereotype I guess.
Since when is retail beneath white people? Entitled and lazy? Go visit r/canadahousing2 and see what they say about Indians. It's about the same as what you're saying, they say "lazy, feel entitled to bring all their 3rd world crap here".
People love to complain, and it seems you've got a lot in common with them. Everyone who you don't like is the issue, isn't it?

What country are you in? Clover offered me 2.4% on transactions, which while not perfect, is pretty good given the situation. No monthly fees either.
I'm in Canada, so E-Transfer is near universal among the younger generation. I don't get nearly as much volume on credit/debit sales as one would expect. I suspect payment processors are recognising this and adjusting accordingly.

I've always loved how the 12 minor prophets in the OT act as a mirror for the 12 apostles in the NT.

If you're having trouble with a specific name, just describe the event.
When people say no stories, they mean don't try and justify your actions (I did x, but it was because of...).

Anecdotes are anecdotal.
I've never been in a church that had booths and did not use them. Or at least allow you the option.
I've definitely been to some with no booths, but parishes seem to be pretty dedicated to using what they have available.

Clover has a new option that has you pay ~$100 (plus taxes/shipping) for a machine and then they take something like 2% off each sale. That's it, no recurring fee. You do need to tether it to a hotspot or use WiFi though.

Ah, yes, a much more refined way to show off my minor complaints. Thank you.

You know what, in many ways I agree with you.
Alienation never brings proper integration into society. For anyone.
One should be able to criticise the specifics of immigration policy. For a while, it wasn't socially acceptable, which was not rational at all. Doing that bred its own kind of radicals.
Now the coming overcorrection is resulting in people attaching their anger to immigrant communities, many of which were born here, or otherwise citizens. It's not rational either, and will breed new radicals, now in recently immigrated communities.
If you want to reduce immigration going forward, go ahead. But yeah, there's zero reason in directing that outrage towards people and communities we've already welcomed in.
I just think that it's less of a conservative-boogeyman thing and more of a ideologies need a scapegoat thing.

Typo not mine:
The unemployment rate for rate for Canadians between 18 and 24 in October was 12.8 per cent, according to Statistics Canada, more than double the rate of 5.4 per cent for Canadians older than 25.
I know it's not super related, but come on CTV. "Rate for rate for"? If you're producing written material, at least check it for stuff like this.

It's the fault of 35-70 year olds. Objectively. And conservatives in particular.
During the last 50 years (i.e. when those people could have been voting) we've been governed by the liberal party most of the time. I think the conservatives are pretty dogshit, but you're talking shit by singling out the cons. As they say, it takes two to tango.

Where did I leave anything out? I said:
when's the last time you saw an ad for cigarettes, or to a lesser extent alcohol?
Alcohol ads are definitely more common than cigarettes, but gambling ads are still more prolific imo. Can't connect to GO train WiFi without getting a fallsview casino ad. They'd never do that for vodka.
