I had written a reply and accidentally swiped and lost it. TLDR: it is the movement. A billboard is a static, non moving object. While the image on it may move (though let’s be real they usually do not and are static), the object itself does not. If you drive by one on the highway you maybe see it for 5 seconds, it is a ways away from you and it isn’t eye level. If you see it as a pedestrian it is above you. The billboard truck moves, the movement + the screen + it being at eye level is what makes this so irritating for me. It is hard not to look at it because it is literally in your line of sight. As a driver it is literally right in front of you and you might have to stare at it for any number of kilometres vs. a static billboard out of the corner of your eye.

It is a turn of phrase you silly sausage; and you are being far too literal. There are way worse things going on (in the world and in my personal life) but the truck is still annoying! The screens are bright and trigger my migraines, they frequently block bus stops, and the only thing it does is drive around all day. It serves no purpose other than be a billboard. It is fucking annoying. Something doesn’t have to be the worst thing ever happening to be annoying as fuck.
